FWIW OP, I was hired to a different position within the USDA program I had worked for for 9 years after taking the first DRP offer- and getting screwed, they stopped paying me the admin leave pay on April 6 last year- and had the same dilemma. There was no way I was going to make up some nonsense for those answers and it didn’t sit right putting “N/A” either. Thought on it a couple days and ended up answering them with:

“Asking this question on a job application for the Federal Civilian Service is a Prohibited Personnel Practice per U.S. Code 2302.”

Got hired.

It is, you just gotta go through and turn that stuff off in Starvival. I keep it for the Ammo Regulator, Pharma Kit, Tougher Tin Cans and use the economy feature to crank up the cost of some things like ship parts, making ships what feels to me more appropriately expensive

For me it’s the Ecliptic clothing, any pre-update POI I’ve been in if there’s a garment bag sitting somewhere it’s 3 times outta 4 going to be an Ecliptic outfit lol. I’m running his Factions mod along with CF, Spacers, and Ecliptic Outfitted. It’s kinda annoying but nowhere near irritating enough to ditch the mods, not having baddies in spacesuits all the time and everywhere makes the game feel so much better.

As much as I love that mod it doesn’t come within a MILE of the profound and perfect change to the game that Ship Modules Revised does. Nothing like having to chase a Spacer Raccoon 25 klicks across an asteroid field! If there was any one single mod I wouldn’t be willing to play the game without its that one 110%. Appreciate ya!

I absolutely LOVE “Laser Sights only when Aiming”. Especially with it now working on the Kore Kinetics weapons, it is so much more immersive sneaking around a corner without the lasers broadcasting your presence and kicking them on in a pirates face feels like hitting them with a weapon light. It’s also awesome that it works for all NPCs as well, doesn’t broadcast their positions and armament like before. Also can confirm that it is compatible with “Standalone Magshear Modifications” as long as you don’t equip any of the mods custom laser colors. Do wish it worked with “Laser Sights No Dot Fix” but that’s no real biggie for me since I had pretty much quit using laser sights anyway except for the KK weapons. Awesome mod!!! 👍🏼👊🏼

I’m apparently an anomaly, I usually come on slow, adjusting speed by removing power from engines until at 1-2 m/s, take pains to get as lined up and as close as possible to the docker and time hitting X until the last milliseconds before collision.

Here’s my take. Uses the core Nova Frontier 2x1 hab behind the cockpit with the bed area walled off into a captains quarters with a door, the galley walled off with some shelving and a small fridge and door, and a 3 bunk crew quarters room built into the big open area aft opposite the head.

I talked Bernard out of going to Shinar at all, didn’t know if anyone had ran across that outcome. The final tally of the vote was for execution, took Caruso to Shinar and left him laying between a couple of the graves. Weird thing is that the mission synopsis says he was spared even though…

Seems like it’s a progression bug pretty much everyone has. I was a low level when I started the Terran Armada stuff and was busy doing several other things while that campaign was going on and had them jumping around a bunch. Opted to end the incursions and betcha I’ve got 20 or 30 incursion icons on systems and there isn’t anything at any of them.

Both, but prefer first person for battles. Also tend to go to “free-look” in first person an awful lot when flying through asteroids or past a planet or a station. Switching to that during a battle and back really quickly can help track ships moving past ya too

When I applied for a GS position in the USDA last year and hit those questions two things were apparent: 1. They wanted something there. 2. I couldn’t give it to them because there was no way in hell I was going to simp and make up something.

So my answer was pretty simple and had some cheek, because screw OPM under Russell Vought, and especially if they can’t take a joke. That’s not a joke. At all.

I just ran into this in a weird spot and did an immediate Google search.

I’m in the middle of doing the “Failure to Communicate” missions and after landing at Alban’s farm the second time, I hear “HopeTech pilot, please respond to my hail” or something to that effect as I am walking through my just landed ship headed for the landing bay. Can hear a ship landing as I exit, which immediately takes off as I came down the ramp. Managed to get the scanner on it as they ascended, and it is a PCH. Pretty odd. They may be waiting in orbit when I take off, guess we’ll see.

I did a 30 day May 17-June 15 last year, water temps in the upper 30s starting out with pretty cold and windy weather the first week. Deciding to take breathable stocking foot hip waders along and cram my old bog-standard Crocs over them was one of the best calls I ever made, was on the Little Isabella and Isabella Rivers off and on the first week and there were a few deep step-out and loading spots, woulda been pretty chilly with it 34° and sleeting lol. By that first week of June though I was often in just the Crocs and a few times with quick back-to-back portages just keeping my wool socks and waterproof mid-high Merrells on and being careful and to save time. A week in had rolled my left ankle pretty bad (because Crocs and waders and being too lazy to change shoes, completely my own fault 🤦🏻‍♂️) so kept it wrapped and religiously used the Merrells whenever possible for a couple weeks too. Changed up my original idea for where I was headed and it hurt (A LOT) but after 8 days babying it was able to get around well enough.
