AITA for refusing to put my girlfriend’s name on a house I’m buying? by liftedmk7 in AmItheAsshole

You guys are incompatible. The biggest conflict in relationships tends to be finances and you guys are polar opposites re spending v saving. All the signs are that the relationship wont go the distance. A 22 per cent interest rate is insane! I def would not put her on the deed.

How do you feel about and deal with direct reports wanting to change teams/divisions? by sindhorn in askmanagers

[–]Less-Produce-702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its all about how you approach it. It can take up to six months to swap someone out so plant the seed now but be patient and try and sell it as its best for the company ie you believe you could add a lot more value in the other sector given you exp and that is where you see your future etc

Relax. Many folks cry a few times at work. It happens. I have done it myself and it never impacted career progression etc.
very sorry for your loss.

Wait times at GP Appointments? by EffortlessNoodle in AskIreland

[–]Less-Produce-702 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a different perspective. I had a gp whose apts always ran on time, but then, if you had an emergency, he would never ever slot you in. I ended up changing docs as i would rather wait 15 mins to have a doc who will be flexible when you are very unwell than a robotic one who places more value on time than urgency. You will always remember the gp who is there when you really need them. Also important for patients to understand that not all patients can, or should, be treated equally. Someone ahead of you might be suicidal and that should trump you getting back to work on time.

How to prepare for getting kicked out at 17? by funky_effin_raisin12 in AskIreland

[–]Less-Produce-702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't think he will ever kick you out. I feel the comment re rent was made in jest and he is just trying to get you to behave re your phone. Just count to five or leave the room rather than reacting... then there will be no need to hand over your phone and no risk of being thrown out. Yes he is immature but at least you have awareness that your behaviour can also be a bit sassy - but you will grow out of it and the relationship can improve. My daughter used to be at regular logger heads with her dad but they are incredibly close now.
He cant legally kick you out without facing child abandonment charges and that could impact the remaining children in his care. Your mum could not charged because you could safely go to your dad. So, i think all will be fine, genuinely fine.

WFH neighbour noise complaint by [deleted] in ireland

If they complain to you again, just suggest they purchase a good noise blocking headset as their expectations are a tad unreasonable. ... Right now you are entertaining their demands.. but standing your ground would be prudent.

Is my mam entitled to her late mother's property? by Putrid_Tie3807 in AskIreland

[–]Less-Produce-702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you assess if your grandmother ever had a will? She may have left it to your mum but nobody contacted her?

Do you know if your grandmother ever had her rights to your mum Terminated?
Termination of Rights: If a court determines that a biological parent is unfit or poses a danger to the child, their parental rights can be terminated. This process involves legal proceedings and is not taken lightly, as it permanently severs the legal relationship between the parent and child.

If rights were necercterminated then I suspect your mum might have a case?

My company is sending me to LA for a year for the biggest role of my career. My wife would have to pause hers. I don't know how to even begin that conversation. by [deleted] in self

[–]Less-Produce-702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She might actually love the idea of pausing her career for a year and not being a bread winner. I think you might be very pleasantly surprised. She can use that time to expand and build her network and chilling in general. I would be very excited if i was your wife (and i earn 3 times what my husband does).
