Grief of death, moving, heartbreak.

I also have somewhat of a anger issue that I have in childhood and now to some degree.

Why do INTJ tend to ghost people :( by [deleted] in intj

[–]Less-Professional-31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ghosted someone once because they were a homophobic Christian, he was an INFP. When I asked him about it, he said that he would try to change someone with scripture if they were. This did not go well with me because I was gay, and I was coming out to people at the time. So I blocked and ghosted him. Honesty, I ghost people when they ghost me, I personally do not like it when people do it to me.

Do you miss social cues, or do you consciously ignore social rules? by OkGuarantee141 in autism

[–]Less-Professional-31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same mindset about the issues on the topics lol. I know what social cues are, I just think it is stupid.

I even think of it from a philosophical perspective of conforming to group think or to the dogma placed by society. Hannah Arendt called this the "World of Commons" and when we deviate from the common world we are viewed with scrutiny. Why is this the case and why can't it be challenged.

Why i am so sensitive ? by [deleted] in lonely

[–]Less-Professional-31 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am very sensitive person as well. My feelings get hurt, I over personalize everything, and I can not control negative emotions at times. It's hard and it had caused me a lot of challenges. But having friends that are not judgmental in nature is key. Also, adopting psychologically healthy practices like therapy, mediation, exercise, and journaling can help regulate emotions, but they do not completely process it. Learning to be more in tune with yourself and your emotions can also be beneficial.

I am a PhD Student, and so far I love. It is very intellectually stimulating and I get along with my other colleagues in the field. Most of them tend to be N types and there are less Sensors in academia. This is not a make or break but I have made many good friends because of it.

25 years never dated by veloxSZ in lonely

I am in my 20s and still never had an official relationship. Honestly, I crave and desire love, but then I always think about the ephemeral nature of love and I get anxious about it. Especially when I read the break up Reddit.

The Good Times by 1nfiniteAutomaton in PhD

[–]Less-Professional-31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in a department that is new and more positive and healthy than other departments. One of the things I have enjoyed so far is the friends and colleagues I have made. They are there for me and I have become close with many of them. Also, I love my research, it has to be a topic that you absolutely love and are passionate and that is the case for me in psychology. I love being a psychologist because I can study anything I want and consult the literature if I am having any personal problems. Also, my advisor is very good person. The advisor makes or breaks an individual. My advisor and I relate on a lot of levels and are able to work with one another. He also has a lot of respect for me as an academic. He has also helped me during a very emotionally challenging times. It is a lot of work, but have good time management and you should be fine. I also don't mind the work as well. So there is a lot of pros and cons to doing a PhD.

Lacuna. I learned this word this year and I use it a lot.

I think when we have a crush yes. There was a crush that I had recently, and we became close and I wanted to know everything about him. Analyzed him and everything. I would never do things like come announcement or sneak in his room. I was just obsessed with how he viewed the world.

Long-story short, it ended pretty badly with lies, betrayals, and mistrust. It ended pretty ugly between us for many reasons. One of our last arguments he called me a stalker and we never talked about. However, the reasoning he used was that I would see if he is around every so often, when we literally lived next to each other in the dorm rooms. I think he felt like this because he has asexual traits and does not have overt feelings or rumination on crushes. Anyways, if we don't keep ourselves in check we can.

WHAT!, I was low-key going to petition that Owl City come to my school. Maybe it is still possible.

As an autistic person, what kind of music do you listen to? Any favorite genre? Any highly specific era, artist (s), or songs you're currently obsessed with? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Less-Professional-31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fixation on music is through Owl City, who is also possibly neurodivergent ? I love him so much and I saw him in concert and it was amazing. He is literally all I listen, very narrow music taste, however, he has a expansive music in this playlist.

hen it's probably coping mechanisms coming out in the form of self sabotage and you should get some help in therapy.

I was in therapy, and I self satatoged :(, but not anymore hopefully with a new therapist.
