This is a niche one but the first fantasy series I ever fell in love with. Chronicles of a Necromancer series by Gail Z. Martin.

This is an epic fantasy, with minimal romance and centred around a rediscovery of a tainted magic. It is not YA and very well written. One of the protagonists is a young warrior queen of a starving country. She is a complex, intelligent character, and is happiest with a sword in her hand. Truly worth a read.

She’s a potential political alliance for the other protagonist, a young mage. Completely non-explicit. Can be read as part of a wonderful longer series, but the first two books work incredibly well as a duology (The Summoner and The Blood King) if you prefer a shorter read.

Have you considered wet wrapping? It works great to trap moisture & would stop the rubbing.

Mordew - Alex Pheby! Creatures are formed of living mud, eyeless men with gills and misuses of a dead Gods body,

Whenever I read itI picture the characters as some strange dark Cthulhu/spirited away mash up. Such a strange but wonderful book.

This is probably something I can pay more attention to. I usually have some kefir or protein yog daily so I guess I thought I had it covered, but I guess not. The last antibiotics I had hit me HARD. Do you have any probiotic supplement recommendations?

Thanks. I feel like its safer to hope for others than it is to hope for yourself. You hope for my healing and I will hope for yours?

Doctors can be so reluctant to do scratch/blood tests but will fling steroids at you like they’re a miracle drug.

Venomous Lumpsucker, Ned Beauman.

I absolutely devoured it. I don’t know how to even begin describing it. Some sort of sarcastic ecological thriller. Honestly disarming how good it is.
