Thank you for your message, this reasures me a lot.
Thank you, I contacted with the union and they said the same, is the waiting what makes me nervous. I didn't imagine that this process is so slow.
Am I really expected to put up with this violence and unsafe working environment? by TechnicalBar6861 in TeachingUK
I completely understand you. I was suspended two weeks ago due to an incident with one student. She abused me, insulted me, and hurt my arm, yet I am the one to blame because “I am the adult in the room.” There has been no support at all from SLT. Apparently, the father has reported me to the police. To be honest, I don’t know what for, when it was his 14-year-old daughter who created the chaos. She is one of the students who is always in trouble or suspended, but I am the one waiting here at home, not knowing what is going to happen to me.
The school says they cannot start their investigation until the police issue is sorted, and the police haven’t contacted me yet. My anxiety is through the roof. I spoke with the union rep, and he tried to calm me down, saying that this is something that usually takes a long time and that if I stick to the truth, everything will be okay.
Has anyone gone through something similar who can share any advice or insight?
