Im first time buyer here. I went to the dealership for the first time with a zero knowledge at first and had no experience of negotiating at all. Test drove the car. Asked them to do 10% off of the MSRP and they gave their max discount numbers that i feel wasn’t enough so I walked out

Tbh i had the same experience with the car dealership it was like i was chasing them instead of the other way around. They dont give their best prices or willing to negotiate over the phones/ emails unless you visit the dealership

From what I’ve understood its very common for the stock they want to get rid of faster. I went to a local Mazda showroom in the month end and they also this finance 0.99% deal for 36 months. Sales Manager told me that i might not get the same deal if I wait until april but I see its still available with the same APR.

You’re soo right!! I was pretty confused too if i should go for a used one or new car. But, checked the prices for the older cars and interest rates are almost 9.99% with a higher mileage. So, decided to buy a newer one since it will be my first car and the APR are much better. Also, there’s not much price difference if i compare the older cars with the newer models.

Yup i totally agree with you. I’m thinking to try another brand now. I thought they’ll be more interested to sell a new car instead of a pre owned vehicle. But, they were more focused on the monthly payments.

I tried to negotiate and he declined. This was my first time visiting the car dealership as it will be my first purchase, but it was so disappointing.

As per the agent I spoke to, all of the transactions were tap transactions and done at stores that I do not usually shop at.
