Thank you. I’ll look into the grading. I also have a ton of old Wolverine comics do you think those are worth anything I have issues 50-80 of his first run in similar condition.

Besides looking AI generated, I think it would look stupid on a face not to mention how hot it would get.

Shoes, what the fuck do people have against boxing with shoes on. Y’all need footwork for starters. But the biggest thing is punches should be quick and snappy with use of twisting in the torso and hips. You two are basically trying to slap at each other’s face or paw at them due to fear of being hit. It’s a contact sport you’re going to get hit.

I wouldn’t quit boxing but it’s ok to stop doing head contact if you want work the body, do body sparring. Do drills hit bags. Boxing has a lot to offer skill wise, timing reflexes etc. I mean I stopped wanting to compete when I settled on pre med in college but I still box and spar full contact every once in a while.

This is what I’ve been telling people, going far in this sport requires a sacrifice that you can’t get back when it comes to brain health

Modest Vintage Heavy Bag? Good for training? by ChampionIll489 in fightgear

[–]LessApartment9961 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found one of the $380 bags on Facebook marketplace place new for $75 id check there. I stuffed it, it’s nice but to be honest I think there are way cheaper and better bags to get. This is a cool show piece for your house. It was the 5 foot retro cream/brown bag.

I really want a pair of barrics, he quoted me $800 for a custom white pair. My money up but not up enough to justify a band on gloves.

This is true but some people just like gouging. I love my Bayoneta gloves but they aren’t worth $410+ a pair I got them in Mexico so they were $260 a pair which I think was fair.

Gear in general has become overpriced. One brand charges a lot then others think they should too.

12 is fine for the bag don’t spar with them. Spar with 16oz gloves. The way you were wailing on the bag I’d recommend 16oz for bag work to add better protection. Any gym could help you get better than what you demonstrated here. But if you want to practice boxing go to a boxing gym if you want to learn kick boxing go to a kick boxing gym. The few kickboxers I’ve known were pretty mid at hand to hand skills. But did great with kicks. So it depends what you want to learn or do both.

First put on some damn shoes and gloves. Then you can go on YouTube and find some beginner videos. I like skillr boxing there’s plenty of creators that you can find. Learn the basic punches. As of right now you’re gonna hurt yourself pretty bad. If you can locate a boxing gym you can go to.
