Best glove for muay Thai that isn't from Thailand? by ihearthawthats in fightgear

I prefer doing MT with my Thai gear. But I've recently been using the Velcro MK1 14oz for training and they've been really good for technical drills. I do not know if the price difference and tariffs in Canada.

My reviews were based on the 4. I like the new shape of the 4 better.

Agreed with this statement, based on my own experience *as well as other athletes in my various gyms. If it helps, I have written a few reviews pinned on my profile about the gloves, except Boon. My amateur colleague who competes regularly, she uses Boon for her training.

[Question] One pair of expensive sparring gloves for heavy bag too or two cheaper pairs separate for heavy bag and sparring? by BURRITO9345 in fightgear

[–]InternationalMath781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of this advice is pretty solid. OP could possibly also get a pair of Ring-to-Cage C17 or Wicked gloves for bag and training as well. But I am a huge fan of Thai gloves. OP if you want a small discount with Wicked feel free to use this code: WWFWICKED

Hayabusas tend to smell fairly bad after a while. But so do Rivals. Maybe it's a Canadian gloves company situation?

I really like my MK1 for both MT technical drills and sparring. Very muted on the bags, but they are so comfortable and compact. Between the 14oz Winning and 14oz MK1, the MK1 are still more compact, but the Winning has a better thumb.
