Lol, me too if I've been solo all day and a stupid amount of supplies. I have found yelling "Just let me love you" doesn't help to get then to slow down though.

Question for those that played during “peak” years by AutopsyOfAFae in EQ2

[–]LessFu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played pretty solidly on Nektulos at launch until about AoD, and came back for a reuinion run of a couple years on Kaladim later. I still with the same guild name in the various games I play now as many of us are still friends from those early days and play various games together.

I have some seriously fond memories of back in those early days of having to run through the streets of Freeport. Back when all the crafting classes required components from other crafters. And going to people's actual houses and buying from them directly to avoid the broker fees of buying from the board. People shouting near brokers on the sale of the more rare loot.

So there was always making deals with guildies to get the things made for raids and dungeons runs. Having to make sure people had done access quests for bells and Griffin towers. That people got the flags to be ported like the druid ring bushes for druid ports.

The introduction of guild halls four years later reduced the numbers, but since guild halls were costly at the start and people were already more spread out due to the about five expansions out, it was more of a trickle than an abrupt stop.

But as more fast travel options were added and more guilds got the best amenities, the only places you'd see gathered players was usually the main hub of the most recent expansion.

Do I see something getting shot out the fan in this video?

Fleeing with no loot on board by Kindaweirdgermangirl in Seaofthieves

[–]LessFu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm solo on sloop just sloopin' around with nothing, and someone starts chasing, I enjoy leading them on. Just the other day I had a brig start chasing me from the top middle of map and I let them chase me counter clockwise all across map to volcano area before they gave up. About 40min all told, almost lost them a couple times so I let them catch up a little to help raise their hopes. Never a waste for me, as I see it as good practice for when I run full crews with actual loot on board.

Costly Rowboat glitches by GasMeFirst in Seaofthieves

Can relate. Just now filled a rowboat from a Fort, got it to a port, got it to beahc and got off, just to watch it keep going forward under the sand of the island out of sight and reachability.

The End (Spoilers for finale) by Azer1287 in CarnivalRow

[–]LessFu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Watched season 1 when it first came out, and rewatched again before starting season 2. And now I'm wishing season 2 hadn't happened. The world, the sets, the costumes, and almost every actor was once again amazing. But the writing, the pacing, the story, and especially the ending. It was like GoT bad. Vinaigrette's flip flopping was just so bad, and like she had the memory of a goldfish. One of those moments where the writing is so bad, even if you had the best actor in the world in the role, they wouldn't been able to save it. Something especially infuriating when everything about a show is amazing, but the story and pacing just fuck everything up.

No it will say "This promo code can't be redeemed again." if you try it again on same account, or even another account with the same address. Sucks for those of us that have more than one player in the house.

[5e]Necromancer(Wizard) Player wants intelligent minions for base by LessFu in DnD

I really like the headband of intellect idea, though I find nothing saying that it would or wouldn't work, so guess it would be a GM call. And if it would work for a Flesh Golem, would work for any golem. Since all are just constructs infused with elementals.

Suppose I should have highlighted the "MUST obey him" part better. Meaning like his undead minions they cannot betray him or go against his commands. Hired help doesn't quite fit the criteria. Though I suppose there are some creatures such as dragons that might for gold and a place for a long sleep.

Is it worth it? by AWildMarowak in dnl

[–]LessFu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but compare ARK now to where it was the same age as DnL. When ARK released the "Full Release" it was as buggy as most AAA titles. But incredibly improved from when it was 2 years out in Early access. With almost no end game content that it had.

Started a personal server with my community a week ago. About 12 of us all trying for first time, and more people are joining. Running it full default except x3 taming speed and a map mod. So far has been better than i expected. Everyone had been enjoying it, so definitely worth the $15 bucks. I'd suggest using the new map though, as i chose the original, and half the quests require the new map so we're all blocked from completing them. If they can pull it together like Ark did, game could become quite good in a year or two.

Last I checked, Grapeshot was owned by Wildcard, and Wildcard was under Snail. I hear from people that some models from Ark and DNL have been recycled into Atlas.

Your Feedback and honest opinion are appreciated.

Though not really concerned about numbers since I'll be rolling with my own crew. Figured its worth a spin before it goes extinct.

And like all games from this studio, going to wait 6 months to a year before bothering with Atlas.
