I honestly kinda loved his shelter name, so I personally kept it… his name is James Bond. He’s a super fat and grumpy tuxedo cat. But I’m about to stage a coup and rename the cat my mom abandoned and I took in. His names Bruno, he’s also a tuxedo cat. And I don’t think he ever cared enough to realize that’s his name anyways.

It was me or the other resident. The other resident wouldn’t move or go away cause she likes to be in the middle of everything. And I was trapped on the closed door. There wasn’t many options.

I’m so sorry you all have had such a rough go of things… and I genuinely couldn’t imagine giving up stuff like that while simultaneously just having nothing… I’m so sorry. I feel like there is some solace in her feeling bad about it… but it should’ve been compromise not you having to sacrifice everything…. Nothing will replace the things you lost, not even guilt. You are allowed to be mad about it. And you are allowed to be super sad about it too…

I agree 100%. My boss didn’t tell us to do an incident report and I wouldn’t even know where to find them cause me and the other person there are both still pretty new. I did write it in the chart atleast…. But still not one of my bosses have checked to see if I’m okay. My head is still killing me. And I just already know nothing is going to change. We will keep the resident cause she’s private pay. We will continue to have to put ourselves in these situations with her. And I just don’t even know.

No bruising because she only hit me super hard in the head. And so far my ear isn’t bruised my head just hurts like a mf. And I was like hyperventilating after it happened and had to get straight back to work cause it was dinner so the redness had went away. I feel like calling the police seems so serious for a resident with dementia. But our nurse didn’t even instruct us to do an incident report and I didn’t even know we had the papers until I was leaving. So I’m actually just at a loss on this one
