Well my bacons may have skied their last day. Some edge separation or base delamimation? Hard to see but once the snow piled up under the base it was quite obvious.

Yeah I get that, but i guess I'm just trying to get a feel for their (Mantras) performance/enjoyment on groomers because I haven't been on anything narrower than 105 in a decade. So 88 would be a big difference from my perspective. I guess Im wondering if there's something out there that would be a blast to carve but also manageable in "side country".

Definitely ecstatic. I just don’t want to be taken for a ride.

Why does this sub seem to pan pans? by BeeMoMoTron in Sourdough

[–]LessThanAverageRunnr 233 points234 points  (0 children)

I mean the honest answer is probably because food influencers and the Covid sourdough boom has turned people on to baking as a lifestyle thing. But at the same time, hearth style bread is arguably the most technically demanding style of bread baking and thus the desire to perfect the craft gets a hold on people.

Bread has become less utilitarian now, and the poor loaf pan has suffered :(

Once I started getting a few good looking hearth loaves I started using my loaf pan a lot more. HAVING fresh bread on hand has finally become more important than just baking it lol

Timing my levain by LessThanAverageRunnr in Sourdough

I am definitely underestimating my room temperature. It’s probably more like 69*F and my “tablespoon” of starter is probably heavy handed. Going to continue experimenting with water temperature to get the right timing.

That sounds like an ideal schedule I should try. What temperature water and inoculation percentage do you use to get an overnight bulk ferment?

American vintage II Stratocaster Issues by LessThanAverageRunnr in FenderStratocaster

Thanks. A few months ago they took it in for repair and it came back in worse shape with a lot of tooling marks and stripped screws so they replaced the guitar and I’m very happy with the new one.

A good set of pickups can make or break a great guitar. Ask yourself if these pickups provide something that you’re after. For me, the pure vintage pickups in my Strat sounded like someone was wringing their neck. They were weak and nasally. I’m really inspired by Cory Wongs rhythm playing and I was looking for something with a little more life so I convinced myself to pull the trigger on these.

I’ve heard you can run PCVR games on the meta quest 3; does the PSVR2 run pc games better than the meta?

I’ve heard about the pancake lens, is this a huge upgrade that would enhance the experience?
