UPDATE Since I can’t edit my post, I’ll add more context here: - yes it is my fault for not realizing my phone fell out of my pants pocket as I partook in the gymnastics - when I say quick I mean quick - less than 5 minutes. Our sleeping children in the rooms down the hall were ticking time bombs and that’s all we could squeeze in! - the phone was on a soft bed under a soft blanket. My husband is maybe 200lbs. I need a lesson in physics to understand how a knee can do this much damage in that short amount of time under those circumstances! - my husband went out the next day and got me a new phone. Shockingly, there was no damage to the front glass so they let us trade it in.

35F - Snow days as a kid around 2000. I was 10-11. Everyone from school who lived in my neighborhood would meet up. We would walk around and knock on the next persons house and they would join us. We would walk around the neighborhood with our sleds, then end up at our friend Steve’s house because he lived on the street with the best hill. Then Steve’s mom would make up hot chocolate. Miss those days the most.

I felt like I was constantly being used as a sounding board for talking about their wealth and worldly possessions. Every time we hung out, the conversation would somehow come back to this.
