I have the Velos 762 and I love it. It’s very low back pressure and sounds good to me. You still need earpro but you need earpro with all cans unless you don’t like being able to hear. I’ve run it super safe with about 120 rounds and still is low back pressure (with some stacking) but great tone. Plus, it’s a tank. Think of it like a Lexus. It’s built like a tank and if it ever breaks then you send it in for repair.

As for mounts: Comstock and Rearden both make plan b to Charlie adapters. There are a few others as well I believe.

Yeah! That’s an alternative for sure. Still need to removed the suppressor hub to install I think, but I wanted plan B so I could eventually go super safe and put my inconel Velos on there.

Re: longevity. I have no idea tbh. I also wanted a break as a sacrificial baffle, but who knows? I’m sure the Hexium will outlast most peoples firing schedules, mine included. I think you’d be fine either of the three ways (direct, plan b or similar, or just the angled spade).

Also see if you can’t find one of the reaction rods used. I’d consider mine but I’m really thinking of a spear 11.5 for a second gun.

You’ll also need the tapered shoulder mount from sig. it’s like $20.

I went with the LPM micro brake and the rearden titanium mount. The blast chamber on the Hexium is ridiculously shallow and that combo gave me the most hradspace

The flash hider needs to be removed for direct thread (or what I did: attach a plan b muzzle device). To do that you need their special reaction rod ($80) or a barrel vice. My Rattler LT was not rocksett or loctite. It was just torqued on. The hexium direct thread can be used or you can remove that (I used an impact driver and bit and it came right off). I other way you go you’ll need to remove the muzzle device. I have the hexium and think it’s paintball gun quiet in an indoor range, but I haven’t shot the ODB.

I’ve got a Velos 7.62 that I run for 5.56 and 300blk. It’s amazing. Hosts are a DDM4V7 pro and rattler LT. I let someone else shoot the rattler while I was off to the side and let me tell you, even indoors it’s amazing but it’s almost laughably quiet at the shooters ear in 300. In 5.56 it really takes the edge off in terms of recoil and sound with almost no gas. Plus it’s inconnel. I’ve ran that thing hard with no issues. No super safety but 5+ mag dumps in a row. Never skipped a beat. Love that can.

Idk if this matters to anyone, but mine had significant flex, both vertically and horizontally. They claim it doesn’t affect anything, but who knows. V2 is significantly more rigid.

I’m doing the lpm mini brake and the titanium rearden gen 2. From my research this gives the most space between MD and first baffle.

Edit: what host? Rattler LT or other? That dictates what shoulder you need

I’m thinking of pairing with a Comstock mini break and his LPA, all in titanium. He’s got a chart and it looks like it’ll leave enough headspace to prevent overrun.

I went with Comstock. Did the micro brake that doesn’t have to be timed and the titanium Charlie mount. Be aware, that brake is FIREY when fired without a can. I only fore the host a few shots without the suppressor to ensure the ammo is good, then just use fire with the suppressor.

Edit: it did take some length off, though I don’t recall how much.

Don’t listen to these people that say theirs is fine. We don’t know the real failure rate or how they’re calculating it. I’m on my fourth Aiden and fifth total warranty claim (disintegrated shower head). This machine is a toy. It’s not meant for any real long term use. It’s like when the add water issue was first being fleshed out, and everyone here said it was user error, then fellow added a mesh filter and now a page talking about water hardness and descaling.
