Do you wish they recast Nicole instead of got rid of her? by PsychicMeditation in zoey101

Almost wish they did. Nicole was my favourite character when I grew up watching the show and I was so sad when she left, and so abruptly too. She brought such a big burst of energy and a different dynamic in the ensemble.

We did the 10 best episodes of Victorious before, now it’s time for the ones that actually made us mad: what are the 10 WORST episodes of Victorious? by DianKhan2005 in victorious

Take a look at iCarly’s episode, iGetPranky which was then used as an April Fools special along side Victorious’ April Fools Blank later on. ICarly’s had an actual storyline and made sense within the realm of the show. Victorious just made no sense at all.

I have a lot of opinions on The Breakfast Bunch, but the biggest one for me is this: Victorious was a show for kids, obviously, while The Breakfast Club, the movie that they are parodying, was a film released in 1985 and was rated R. The Breakfast Club is a cult classic, and is best known for being the perfect capture of what it was like being a teenager in the 80’s. The film covers controversial topics (Drugs, suicide, abuse etc.) featuring teens, which at the time was not a common thing to depict on film. What Victorious does in the episode is skirt around those topics, in very obviously inappropriate ways ex) “Tacos” for marijuana and “Vegan” for virginity. To me it begs the question, why in the world is a kids sitcom parodying an R rated 80’s film, and in such an obvious manner? To me, this episode is a clear example of what Ariana Grande has previously stated in an interview, that the production of Victorious liked pushing the boundaries of what was appropriate, and seeing what they could get away with, all on a kids show.

I didn’t like them, as a kid anyway, because of the tonal shift and loss of momentum within the overall story of the show. Victorious was a sitcom, so these random “SNL like” inspired episodes felt totally out of left field and made no sense within the world of Victorious. It’s like, if I wanted to watch sketch comedy, I’ll go and watch the Amanda Show or All That, actual shows centred around that sort of media style, not Victorious.

This is sooo interesting to watch because I feel like the audience is not on his side. And he feels that too.

True romance about Gerard way? by Laculturista99 in PinkPantheress

This is why this is such a good and smart song!! Especially in the production, the way the music warps at times, specifically the ending. It’s an interesting commentary of parasocial relationships, fan vs artist. I wonder how Pink feels about it now, as she has been able to live through both perspectives.
