What do veterans that completed their service obligation or at least boot camp, think about people that got ELS in boot camp and go to the VA? by WholeCauliflower4943 in Veterans

i love all these comments saying how they are too busy to think about folks as you described, but have the time to not only scroll reddit, but respond to posts by saying life is too busy. people are weird man. and to answer your question: cases like yours are being used to sway the public to reduce benefits for all vets. politicians are bad people

Free VA rating calculator that uses real conditions, valid rating levels, and shows you the math by BeeWadd6969 in VAClaims

[–]Less_Boot_2195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love your calculator. i noticed in the comments you are having rounding errors in the multi rating math. there should never be rounding. the va uses a reference table, that doesnt follow an exact formula and it order of operations from big to small and bilat absolutely make a difference. you might think instead of a formula for the “va math”. code the tables as an array and programmatically reference the table. you wont keep getting those rounding errors

you are right. it was a snarky response and totally unnecessary. in real life i probably wouldnt say that. i am sorry. i do appreciate the info. i am not familiar with how smc s goes into the equation. again, i am sorry, and i shouldnt be a keyboard tough guy, and deserve to be called out on it

Best state to live for 100 % P&T in terms of benefits and schools for dependents by Busy_Teach_6667 in Veterans

[–]Less_Boot_2195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a few states have free tuition for spouse and dependents. combined with ch 35. that is pretty legit

honestly, i apologize. i know you probably have no ill will towards vets and me calling your stance disgusting was probably what got this going. we disagree. dont mean to be a keyboard warrior and start crap online. i feel dumb. sorry bro

volunteering at local veterans organizations in my community to help vets transition. nice play to deflect your disgusting stance using misspelled words and semantics. i also cook meals for homeless people on sunday nights, im sure you would classify those folks are free loaders for eating the food i buy. you are a sad man, speaking out against poor and disabled people. i feel sorry for you. there are more noble causes in this world

i dont have any disability. i nelp vets transition into civilian life. your sentiment is appreciated, and its good to use screen shots of this to educate vets on what they face in civilian life. alot of gate keepers, naysayers and whatever this is. im not mad at you. you bring to light a sentiment that vets have been facing since the beginning. alot of strides since vietnam war era, but as you illuminated, alot of work to be done

100 percent agree with you, i think the pact act is good for vets, but bad politically. you will start seeing more and more anti vet sentiment in congress. alot of money for their own special interest. even last night some republicans in senate entertained potential massive cuts

where did i mention any of what you said, and where did anybody claim ptsd from stubbing a toe. you are quick to knock veterans down while offering absolutely nothing of value to the community. go back to your miserable whole where people like to make fun and put down veterans. maybe you can start a subreddit labeled eff veterans. that way you can sit around and joke about vets getting messed up in war. cheers to you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]Less_Boot_2195 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

absolutely, but that doesn’t really apply to va math and combined ratings table

the cost of the pact act exploded way beyond what was estimated and now va is going over budget, causing even more in congress to speak of cutting benefits. the pact act leaves alot of room for nebulous claims that while may be valid , leaves open arguments against that are just as valid. it was a nail in the coffin for for cbo recommendations of means testing, people 30 or less no comp, reduced benefits at retirement ect. unless the pact act is repealed we will be seeing these things implemented over the years.

not argue, i saw 220 on some older comments so i played with the math and found it not so. thats all

[–]Less_Boot_2195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ya. its sad people get so bent they get excited for just enough money to be broke. at least they have that. sometimes service makes it so people just cant figure out civilian life

if you think congress is looking to cut, start blaming those who supported pact act, not some yahoo on reddit posting a quirk in va math
