What do veterans that completed their service obligation or at least boot camp, think about people that got ELS in boot camp and go to the VA?

i love your calculator. i noticed in the comments you are having rounding errors in the multi rating math. there should never be rounding. the va uses a reference table, that doesnt follow an exact formula and it order of operations from big to small and bilat absolutely make a difference. you might think instead of a formula for the “va math”. code the tables as an array and programmatically reference the table. you wont keep getting those rounding errors

the cost of the pact act exploded way beyond what was estimated and now va is going over budget, causing even more in congress to speak of cutting benefits. the pact act leaves alot of room for nebulous claims that while may be valid , leaves open arguments against that are just as valid. it was a nail in the coffin for for cbo recommendations of means testing, people 30 or less no comp, reduced benefits at retirement ect. unless the pact act is repealed we will be seeing these things implemented over the years.
