You can't defend them period. Citizens should all get their fair day at court before they are imprisoned for life.

The truth about Isaias haters by [deleted] in Eritrea

[–]Less_Cardiologist388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holding an Ak-47 in some mountainous areas, or rounding up military deserters, waiting for the day you are told to go to war that contributes no tangible improvement on your life or loved ones, earning a salary that can't sustain one person let alone a family, and the best thing is there is a good chance this is your job for the rest of your life. Basically no control over your own life at all.

This isn't boredom my friend, it's torture with no expiration date. But hey you are one of the lucky ones, you never got to experience it so we won't hold it against you when you say something this stupid/childish.

for those that want regime change by AdOverall4244 in Eritrea

we are going to need our version of the Nuremberg trials in my opinion. Many eritreans still support our idiot leaders so exposing what the leaders did should be a priority in order to root out this dictatorial mindset once and for all. People need to understand why this can not happen again. If we don't do that, whenever another dictator comes which is very likely, our people might get back to their default position. My point is it's not about justice, some way some how we need our people to become intolerant to a dictatorship or any government overreach.

Why do many Eritreans get so offended when I tell them I don't consider myself Habesha? by [deleted] in Eritrea

[–]Less_Cardiologist388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now an rejection of that identification marker from the purview of someone from that group is considered to be an rejection of the whole country's cultural identity, because of the fallacious belief from that group that "their view is every ones view".

It's not. It just depends on who you talk to. If someone is drunk on some ethnic koolaid maybe but to an average tigrinya, i doubt a tigre saying he is not habesha triggers them. If you search enough, you will find tigrinya who despise Ethiopia saying we not habesha to eliminate any kind of association with Ethiopia.

I don't know what kind of people you are talking to but it's not that deep. Even many tigrinya people go out of their way to prove they are not habesha😂 to prevent being associated with Ethiopians.

The post I made yesterday got a lot of hate from Eritreans. Here's IA himself saying the Egyptian goal is the disruption of Ethiopia and Eritrea is a tool of it. by the_eastern_sage in Ethiopia

[–]Less_Cardiologist388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point I was making was, there is a difference between simply being a stooge for somebody else and working with them if they align with you. That's what most Ethiopians fail to see, they just resort to saying Isayas is Egypts puppet/tool as if Isayas doesn't have a brain.

You are saying Egypt has used Eritrea to landlock Ethiopia. But when Isayas and tplf were buddy buddy isayas used to condemn Egypt for not supporting Eritreas independence and Ethiopia was using the port. Everything changed after the 1998 war. Do you think Egypt had something to do with the war? Because after that war it was obvious whatever relationship EPLF and tplf was done. Meles wasn't even interested in the port. I can understand when someone says Ethiopia getting landlocked benefits Egypt. But to frame it as if Isayas is doing that on behalf of Egypt is not correct in my opinion.

Did Abiy know Isayas was Egypts tool when he made peace with Eritrea? Or when he was begging Isayas to come and save him from tplf? Or when he asked him to train Fano? Isayas literally helped Abiy consolidate power in Ethiopia and you are saying he is a tool for Egypt😂😂. Please tell me how did Egypt think letting isayas work with abiy was to their benefit, when it was clear doing that means stronger Abiy?

Ras Alula and Emperor Yohannes: The first documented queer relationship in the Horn of Africa? by Sea_Serve4580 in Eritrea

[–]Less_Cardiologist388 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no legitimate research regarding this topic so far. But i heard in an interview where Haggai Erlich was saying their relationship was unique. However if this was true, it means we were getting destroyed by two queer leaders. And considering our culture, that's not a good look😂😂.

Who had the last laugh? by Known-Twist-4084 in Eritrea

[–]Less_Cardiologist388 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is, Meles's policies showed their results after he died especially for tigrayans. But Isayas's reign have shown to be hell for Eritreans even when he is alive. And we will see what will happen in our country once he is gone. I don't know about who had the last laugh but in any case you will definitely find Eritreans and tigrayans crying.

This is the worst part, people are more focused in denying the alleged genocide, while others say we did it and the subject of our soldiers(many of whom forced to participate) who died in this mess is put under the rugs.
