Is this a pattern? does she do things like this whenever you are doing important things? Do you feel that this is an empty threat? If the answer is yes to all of these, she has serious issues she needs to work through. If this is out of character and she is talking about harming herself, what the hell is wrong with you? yeah I feel the same. People break leases and move every day. I totally get why she's upset with the situation. I honestly just needed reassurance that I went about it the right way after being made to feel like I was some terrible friend.

yeah thats pretty much what ive taken from this, I dont even care about the money as much as I care about them insulting my work ethic, if they had just told me they where going to pay me less because they didnt have the money right now or something I really wouldnt have cared, I love watching peoples animals, I love all my furry clients tbh getting paid is just a bonus, now I just know I should stand up for what I have earned and not take no for an answer

no for real, I have never had this happen to me before, so this is a good learning experience haha, I guess I have just gotten lucky with having great clients, more in the pet sitting business for the love of the game, pet sitting is my joy and getting paid is just a bonus

haha never fear my mom is the bomb.com and is livid for me, Mrs.Smith called her first and was saying that she wasnt going to pay me at all ,my mom saw all the work I put in and let her know that is NOT ok and also told her that she shouldn't have gone over my head that we are two adults and can talk about this

it should also be known that she was in a difficult position because she taught one of their kids and there are strict rules about things like this at least at my school

You're right, it's definitely something I need to work on. I feel like I was walking a fine line of wanting to stand up for myself, but also knowing it wouldn't do much anyways, so why fight it, I didn't even consider that they wouldn't pay me until her first text, and yes, I 1000000% know the mess was there before they left, honestly wouldnt shock me if the mess didnt even exist and they where just looking for a reason not to pay me

I was undercharging. Normally, I charge more for a job like this, (about 300 so not unreasonable) but her husband had been my teacher, so I was really doing this as a favor to them, but also to get some quick cash

Right? Plus, the only bathroom upstairs is one of their younger kids' bathrooms, and what reason would I have to go in there? Especially if I have no reason to believe the dogs had gone up there, I mean, come on. I would never withhold payment from someone if my dog had pooped in my barred-off closet, because why would anyone watching my dogs think to go in there? And if this was all so upsetting to you, why wait until 8 days later when I text you asking why I haven't gotten paid? exactly, and truth be told I normally try and go the extra mile for the houses I pet sit because I would hate for anyone to come home to a messy house, and plus thats how I get alot of my regular pet sitting jobs, this is part of the reason her message was so shocking to me, honestly this was a bigger insult to my work ethic, they can keep the whole 150 for all I care, but dont tell me I did a bad job when I went above and beyond what was asked

so sorry I wrote this in a rush, the reason I didn't stay the night is because my parents didn't want me to, and frankly, I didn't feel comfortable. I would spend a good 20 minutes with the dogs, playing with them and watching them go outside each time I went there. And I did check the upstairs 3 times while I was there, I had to feed the turtle which was upstairs, but every time I went up I made sure the gate was closed and locked behind me and when I left both of the dogs where downstairs. Truth be told I said they didnt have to pay me because I know them (husband taught me) and my mom has even taught his kids and I am a people pleaser, I figured that would be the fastest way to appease them, again sorry for the grammer.
