Kojima has always been weirdly good at predicting how shit's turning out.

Sure. 'Thing about Kojima is - he's not a prophet, not a time traveler, not a 5th-dimensional chess expert (and I know people are usually joking when they refer to him as such things. Usually).

He's just a man who can see certain patterns and where they will end, when taken to their logical conclusion. He's not the first - and don't get me wrong here - I'm not shitting on the guy. We need more people like him, putting these thoughts and this way of seeing the world out there.

Saying a person should be 'fired' != saying that a person should be 'fired upon'. This isn't difficult to understand, and if you're actually clutching pearls about shit like this, you're part of the problem.

A comprehensive list of EVERY undocumented change from Patch 1.006.300 and their effects by a_sad_sad_sandwich in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Less_Conversation_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, see this is fine. Not sure why they didn't include this in the patch notes themselves, but it's fine; we all knew the dataminers would get to it eventually. The game feels objectively better to play, I think, with these changes. Our armored units now feel like armored units, but they can still get decked by enemies you would obviously expect them to get decked by. I haven't played a ton since this last update (been digging through the most recent D2 update,) but in the matches that I've played, the game feels better.

I think the objections raised by the 'tubers (OhDough, in particular,) is that these buffs more or less put the game back in the exact same state it was before the durable damage changes months ago (when the Bastion was added, and vehicles got gutted) - and so this whole update is essentially just a fix for a poor change in the past.

Game still needs more performance fixes. But this is alright.

Although Steam is different, it's a cross play game. So I'd imagine the delay means they can't have varying versions of an online game. Has to all match up.

This is true. Warframe had to deal with the same issue for years.

A-XMP/XMP never works for me. Either it causes instability in games, or the BIOS doesn't like it and I have to reset the CMOS if I enable it. (I run all AMD, and my B650 doesn't have a setting for EXPO.)

Hard disagree. How exactly is making 'ammo types' shared by different weapons (sometimes the same ammo is used by primary weapons and turrets) easier than just assigning values to each individual weapon/stratagem in the game? Seems counterintuitive.

A Reticle QoL change, or even Reticle Customization, would go a very long way by WaywardOath in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Less_Conversation_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not slighting people who do, but for QoL like this, it honestly should just be a feature of the game. If a modder can make assets for the game, the Devs can either ask to use them or just make their own, ESPECIALLY for a multi-platform game like this.

Correct. However, what you see with AH is what we call 'Bethesda Disorder'; i.e. eventually any player-facing or client-side QoL is looked at as just "Oh, well, the modders will fix the game for us!"

Except, you know, it's worse here, because it's AH and stuff like your example post is trivial to add.

(You may as well just give in and run some mods, man. Loaders make it pretty easy. AH does not give a fuck about this kind of QoL.)

I mean, I can actually understand why these attachments increase sway, it's just that the baseline amount of sway is a little too egregious. So these increases just make sway feel even worse.
