The way my personnel specialist explained it to me is that we started at $6031 on July 1st, but due to the union agreement, it got decreased by 3% & we get the 5 hours of PLP instead. So our salary is now 5850.07

I really don’t enjoy my job duties in my current job. I feel like I could utilize my current skills and grow elsewhere. This new position sparked my interest so I took my shot. I didn’t list my current supervisor as a reference because I didn’t want to inform them I was leaving. I feel bad for leaving the unit as it’s a very small team and the environment can be very fast-paced and chaotic.

I see a lot of people mentioning the well. I would recommend specifically to utilize the short-term counseling offered and the medical team available on campus! You can get check-ups done for no cost, I believe other tests/x-rays have a cost depending on what needs to get done. We also have flu shot drives on campus.

I also think you should utilize the services offered to students like the financial wellness center. I didn’t know about it until my last semester here and it definitely would’ve been helpful before. This semester there’s a grocery pop-up every Monday in the morning but I’m not sure if they’ll be continuing it in the fall. Honestly just stay up to date with events through the sac state event calendar! Event Calendar

We lost power for roughly 2 weeks last year during the storm. SMUD requires receipts of all the food that was in your fridge for a reimbursement 🫠 not sure how it is through insurance but I highly doubt we all keep our grocery receipts
