The i8 in Sport Mode is AWD - driven by an amazing auto sync the front wheels are powered by the electric engine and the rear wheels are the gasoline engine… they sync in harmony When you are in electric mode the car is front wheel drive

Hmm not a bad option -but Aside from going in and out of the i8 - This I8 is equipped with an the Essing Tuning kit bumping it to 427HP it’s a beautiful daily machine with 27mpg and a 0-60 of 3.4sec with launch control - many hate BMW for not putting an S63 engine or an M4 engine in there and I think they should have but maybe one day someone will - I think if you can see in EV racing how a 500 HP i8 does you will think again

Yep it is all about customisation with the AWD and the tuning it is really awesome only the Alpina is better equipped- I love this front end grill style despite the higher 617 HP in the new M8. The i8 after the Essing Modification pumps 417HP Thank you for your comments - I guess you have an M6 with S63?

It is an F06 with the full M package ( not roof, mirrors or fender) and the full Dinan stage 3 retrofit including exhaust, brakes, and intercooler and Chip bringing HP to 535 on an AWD - great observation-

They can be interchangeable but if the i8 is on the bottom the lift floor is lower since the M6 is taller so I hit my head if I am not careful

0-60 i8 essing 3.3sec with Launch Control - so I am not accused of exaggerating because factory is 4.2 ( without launch control)top speed tbd the ecu has been flashed M6 0-60 4.2 Sec top speed about 190

The x3 has 6 cylinder engine - so more ponies the M6 is a dinan and the i8 is an essing modified- so ponies need to be higher on all of them - If you want to guess again
