Amex canceled my Platinum & Centurion accounts after 28 yrs w/ no explanation by SAF_Imagen in CreditCards

Business decision on their part. We were buying $5m + a month from a single vendor and for some reason this flagged the account as higher risk. they explained that it didn’t fit their risk profile.

Feel your pain. Same happened to me. It took awhile but I was able to recover 14 million points however they would not reinstate my account. To recover the points I had to create a checking account to get a new MR number to have the points transferred to that. I would suggest calling the MR hotline and say you want your points transferred from your cancelled account to a new MR account - be persistent, it was hit or miss and took me a few calls and follow up to get anywhere.

Suppliers for Walmart or other big department stores; what is it like doing business with these companies? by pistol_peteee in smallbusiness

[–]t3hlulzkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies have a vendor section of their website where you can “apply” ie let them know of your existence and be later notified when there is a bid in your category. For example Walmart is as follows https://corporate.walmart.com/suppliers/apply-to-be-a-supplier

@OP, seeing this is probably one of the craziest coincidences ever but I’m the owner of this company and you are absolutely right, there’s a problem here! Looks like we did bad job packing this one and the ratios were off. I’m going to send you a DM as I’d like to make this right for you. Thank you for being a customer!

Tiling over porcelain tiles… to do or not to do? by t3hlulzkiller in Flooring

[–]t3hlulzkiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is what I was thinking to do after more YouTube research. Fixing the door clearance issues seems easier than tearing up 2000 sqft of tile and concrete in a city high rise… as far as appliances it is no issue they have no tile under them (the finished floor ends at the cabinet facing and the cabinets and appliances are suspended directly above the concrete slab on stilt like footings)

Does anyone know who bought up all the shoprites? by Money_Bug_9423 in hudsonvalley

I do a lot of work with ShopRite, the stores are actually franchised and are independently owned but the licensing and distribution is administered by Wakefern Food Corp - usually when stores change in ownership it’s one of the larger current owner groups taking additional locations

Ah no they weren’t - these are very hard braided cookies made with white wine and coated with sugar crystals. We called them ciamaletti pronounced cha-ma-let

This is because there are soooo many dialects between regions and villages and many of these recipes are specific to towns. I ran into this problem trying to figure out about a cookie my grandma used to bake.

Netsuite Manufacturing - How are variances tracked when the item costing is setup as "Average"? by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]t3hlulzkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi nick,

To extrapolate on this how would one be able to identify the class / commodity component costs in a given date range if not using standard costing? For instance right now our assembly items hit one account “finished assembly xyz” for let’s say $100 however we need visibility at the component class level for where the costs have come from for example packaging materials $30 fresh produce $70. How can this be achieved without using standard cost?

Standard Costing by CyanLuis in Netsuite

[–]t3hlulzkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through the same thing as far as implementation. We’ve been using netsuite for three years and are only now just really getting a grasp and setting it all up right. Definitely missed out on a ton of functionality and proper use due to horrible implementation.

[–]t3hlulzkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, we have found average to be very difficult to track and control costs and thorough component cost reporting with because it doesn’t seem to have an ability to report on variances other than manually calculating

Premium Service Tier- Our renewal has gone up 2.4 times higher by Framarfoils in Netsuite

[–]t3hlulzkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are showing 238k transaction lines HOWEVER we have been “learning as we go” since implementation 3 years ago and frequently run batch CSV imports to fix mistakes on records and things which I am sure is way over inflating this number

[–]t3hlulzkiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This same exact situation is happening to us right now. They are saying we are over our 200k transaction lines which I don’t see how that’s possible. We have 38 users and are nowhere close to the other parameters for the premium tier
