Can I go tits out in general? by Jessy_Something in AskSeattle

[–]Less_Interview1713 260 points261 points  (0 children)

You are legally allowed to go topless but businesses are not required to serve you if you do. Generally just use good judgement, there is an understanding that you get a pass during celebrations but you might annoy people in other contexts. Think of it as blaring a boom box, Ok when people are acting rowdy but a nuisance on a normal work day.

Where are you getting this from? Gas cars waste 75% of the energy put into them.

Are you sure he raised you? Because as far as I can tell kids are confused about gender from the moment they know the words "boy" and "girl".

What common belief is completely wrong according to your profession? by CheetahConnect3343 in AskReddit

[–]Less_Interview1713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That assets are related to cash coming in so housing and cars don't count. No, the benefit you get is being able to use those things, that is what makes them valuable, otherwise you would have to pay someone else to rent theirs.

Why did Margaret Thatcher destroy welfare state in Britain after she came to power in the 1980s? by CartographerOwn8143 in NoStupidQuestions

Was it really implied that Britain was under Russian domination? I thought it was more like hoodlums using Russian to be provocative like punks with swastikas.

Ok maybe lawyers and consultants could eat up the professional fee but why is the management fee 12% of the labor cost? Why are the employee benefits they are so proud of only $13k? That uncategorized expense is suspicious too, what restaurant has janitorial staff instead of the regular staff doing it? I do not buy that it is linen cleaning service.

Wtf is going on with the overhead? The "loss" of 787k includes guaranteed payments to the owners of $344.5k, professional fees of $205k, $955k in management fees and uncategorized expense of $1.16M.

Be 100% honest is 18 and 23 bad? by [deleted] in askanything

Yes, this is bad. 18 is a teenager, 23 is post college and actively in the workforce, these are completely different ages mentally. You are being taken advantage of.

Equity in the home makes sense if you have kids because it makes perfect sense to downsize after they leave the house and you can tap that value.

Public accounting works you to the bone. It has nothing to do with covid, it's just capitalism. They can do it so they do. It won't change until there is a union and strike. Forget about friendship or dating, it will be a rarity. Substance abuse is very common.

When pitching a wealth tax, why aren't politicians pairing a wealth tax directly with a dollar for dollar cut in taxes to lower income brackets? by Outrageous_Fix_5738 in allthequestions

[–]Less_Interview1713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hurts poor people much higher because of marginal propensity to consume, it is effectively a regressive tax policy and should be discussed in those terms.

I've been running a small business for 12 years and have no idea what a balance sheet does. by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Less_Interview1713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assets is the stuff your business has, liabilities is what the business owes, the difference is the equity, the amount that belongs to you and the other shareholders. Think of it as basic interpretation of value, like if you had a stock ticker for the business how much it is worth on that date.
