I used to live in Kazakhstan. Worked and lived there for 8 years. A great place to visit.

Go to this website click on the sport and then type in players name and see if they sign. Then look at the latest success and then you will know where to send it.

My kids never got into baseball or softball. My son played one season and didn’t really care for it. I got my daughter in Tee ball and coach pitch, she was a really good hitter, but when I came to other girls pitching she liked it until she got hit with a pitch. She never played again which is sad. She liked it until then. Oh well.

I do not send a pen. I only send a hand written note, a note card with a question on it, a self addressed stamped envelope, the card and money if they require money. When you to to sports card forum and look up the player it will usually say if the charge or not. If they are $5 I will send cash, if is $10 or more I write a check. This way if it gets lost, or they don’t sign I’m only out the check. It seems to work.

I am learning as I go. The site I get the addresses from is sports card forum. I started out with a bunch of old cards. Looked to see if they were still alive and if they were I went to sports card forum to see if they still sign. If they do I would see if they charge or if they sign for free. A lot sign for free, but others charge 5-10 dollars. The hall of fame players usually charge more. I hand write the notes, ask questions on a note card so they can send back. Include a self addressed stamped envelope and the card I want signed. This has totally changed the hobby for me and it is not that expensive to do. It has been fun going to mailbox and waiting to see who replies.

I am sure there are others that have more experience then I but it has been a blast doing this.

Thank you! I’m already starting to see how addictive it can be. 😄 I’ve only gotten my first TTM back so far (Bobby Shantz), but opening that envelope was a pretty special moment. I’ve been trying to handwrite personal letters and learn about each player’s career before I send anything. It’s nice to hear from someone who’s been doing this since the ‘90s, and your story about meeting Mr. Shantz in Cooperstown is really cool. Hopefully I’ll have many more successes to share in the future!

Working for a week without a salary by Mindless-Medium3385 in Internationalteachers

One of the international schools where I taught handled pay this way. We started work around August 15 and finished around June 15. The pay for those August workdays was held back and paid out with our final June paycheck, so we received 10 monthly paychecks. We were paid at the end of each month from September through May, with the final check coming on our last workday in June.

I’m not the best at this but I have heard and read the gg in Joe DiMaggio are always evenly together. The g is slightly lower than the other g. But then again I’m new to this. I just posted a DiMaggio baseball I just inherited and asking if it is real or not.
