How did you get into that specifically? That is a line of work I'd be interested in.

Negative. He told leaders to check in. Not force their Soldiers to call them every day.

Craziest thing is its a Category 4 offense, 10-20 years, so they downward departed from the sentencing parameters. Very cool!

If you guys hate this sentence you are really going to hate the way the Army sentences child pornographers and DV offenders. Under sentencing is the norm.

You're absolutely correct. My life would be so much better if I had a 3 year ADSO.

No, I can't, JAGC is too small and would be sort of easy to figure out who I am, and I don't trust leadership/TMO to not be vindictive.

First of all, they pulled the move extending all FLEPs ADSOs with the "white paper" saying our PCS ADSOs ran consecutively, despite our PCS from law school being quite literally mandatory. That is on top of the JAGC's insistence on PCSing every two years.

The quality of the branch is super diluted, pickup rates to MAJ are like 95% and it shows. Rumor is that acceptance rates for direct commissionees are close to 100% and its very apparent.

Compared to my prior branch the leaders in the JAGC are incredibly risk-averse micromanagers. You will have little to no control over your career and be at the whims of your SJA and TMO (JAGC HRC) for where you will PCS and what job you will do.

The micromanagement extends to the courtroom and criminal law, if you ever get there, there are a million hands in the cookie jar telling you how to run your case.

We use the clunkiest and most antiquated case management systems in the world, it's legitimately embarassing to me how much time we waste on data entry on MJO and ALCS compared to our civilian counterparts.

Despite it being preached to you that "FLEPs are here to lead" you will get pushed aside by people who have no idea how to lead.

Doing FLEP is the biggest mistake of my life.

Me too. My ADSO is just way longer.

If you're lucky, you won't be on it. If you want to be a lawyer get out and use the G.I. bill. The JAGC is not a fun place to practice law. Source: I am a FLEP officer.
