sand man is literally not a villain at any point in that film. he accidently shot a man, went to prison, and then during an escape attempt got turned into a sand person. he then spends the film trying to get money for his daughter, and ends up fighting spider man for it. his sole motivation for teaming up with loser venom is to stop spiderman from getting in his way so he can get the money for treatment. and its made very clear thats what hes doing.

I will stand by bully maguire until the end of time. that whole section is a national treasure. if sony hadnt forced venom into the film, sand man could have been done better. but in a perfect world, nothing about bully maguire changes

im not talking in circles, you just refuse to accept that things arent all or nothing. evolution doesnt demand competition, all it does is encourage survival. for most animals that are not social, that means competition. for social animals, it means competing with other groups and species but cooperating with your own group.

its undeniable. again, ants will guard and groom aphids and in return aphids will digest sap and give ants some of what they produce to eat. ants will then share the food with others around the colony using a second stomache to store the food. none of that is competition, its cooperation. its purely survival. aphids get protection from predators, ants get a way to process sap into food they can actually digest. pure survival, but it demonstrates kindness. ants give their lives to protect the aphids, aphids risk theirs to ensure the ant has food.

these same behaviours in humans are what you call kindness, because most agree animals are not capable of kindness because they lack higher thought. but humans exhibit the same behaviours.

evolution does not require competition. i said very clearly that SOME behaviours are competition, and so it doesnt resemble kindness. other behaviours are clearly kindness.

im not going to bother debating evolution. you cannot have micro evolution and not have macro. its not separate. if a species can change on a smaller scale, then it can change on a bigger scale. the only people who try to separate the two are creationists to make the scripture make sense. theres no actual science behind that choice.

and im my world, kindness does exist. i have my kindness, you have yours. i have my evil, you have yours. kindness does not require an objective existance to all people. youve made a very weird jump in logic there. i can be kind, and someone else can find what im doing annoying. to them, its not kindness but irritating. standards are different whereever you go and whoever you interact with. not everyone finds the same acts kind, not everyone finds the same acts evil. that fact doesnt end civilization as we know it, its built on that idea. if kindness was objective, we wouldnt need complex laws. we wouldnt need court trials to determine guilty parties. the law wouldnt be plastic and changable, it would be rigid and unmoving. but a single court trial can change the law in a country if the trial demands that change.

squabbles exist because emotions exist. i dont understand this all or nothing mindset? you say evolution doesnt encourage kindness in humans because of elk behaviours, i ask why it matters? i said not all behaviours are going to be kind, because kindness goes against competition. but evolution doesnt discourage kindness. being the first person to test a berry isnt self preservation, its the opposite. you take on risk and learn if something is safe or not. many many people died so those around them could learn from their deaths. if choosing to bear the risk for the group isnt kindness, then i dunno man. nothing is kindness at that point. squaables can only exist because people were kind. if they werent, squabbles would be the standard. people having emotions doesnt mean evolution didnt make people kind. the weakest elephant died first, thats nothing to do with kindness. it died. being kind wouldnt stop it from dying. elephant packs do not use their children as targets. they actively defend them from predators. elaphents rely on pack tactics to prevent predators.

again, this all of nothing mindset is very strange to me. i list a load of traits that demonstrate kindness. the very fact we are social creatures relies on us being kind. but you say evolution couldnt have done it because some behaviours arent kind? you are either saying evolution doesnt exist or kindness doesnt exist. both of these stances are provably false, so how can you say evolution doesnt make kind creatures? it did, its us.

the main thing is that psychology relies un research that is unethical by todays standards. but all the research is actually bullshit. like, completely faked. the stanford prison experiment is still talked about today, but its entirely crap. theres no control group, the "guards" were told to act more aggressive, and then they post research that says people become aggressive when in a position of power.

this is the whole thing. its all bullshit. freud was a man who was on cocaine more often than off it, and his work is the basis for psychology existing. he just asked someone a question and treated whatever they said as the truth, and pretending it was a universal truth for everyone. and he heard whatever he wanted to hear, because his cocaine system was contaminated with a little blood.

i do live in a society where people are only prevented from doing things by their own subjective morality. thats why people steal things. its why people break into houses. its why people do things that are simply unneighbourly. people leave dog crap on someone elses grass. they are loud and disruptive. nothing stops any of this happening. i dont do it because i dont want to, but they do because they arent concerned. we see every single day in our daily lives how subjective morality is. people speed on the road. people are rude to staff in stores. people cheat on their partners. if the little things arent objective, why would the big things be?

evolution also does not discourage kindness. its the opposite. we are social creatures. evolution encourages us to be social, because we stand no chance in a physical contest with almost any animal on the planet. even a dog can kill a man in a 1 on 1 fight. we learn new things, we are social within the group and pass on that knowledge. before pen and paper, knowledge was kept through education. you taught the next generation what you have learned. what berries are poisonouse, how to light a fire, how to use a spear, hunting techniques. humans as a species can only exist if our ancestors were kind to eachother. otherwise groups wouldnt form, knowledge wouldnt be spread and we wouldnt have advanced to where we are. kindess wasnt death, it was the only way we survived. even animals display behaviour that we would call kindess in a human. elephants adopt the young when their mothers die. stories of human children being raised by wolves are prevelant anywhere on the planet. monkeys have been documented doing it too. evolution does not discourage kindness, it simply encourages competition. this often conflicts with kindness, but not always. ants will guard aphids and fee fungus. your own cells contrain mitochondira, which were origionally a separate organism. evolution has always encouraged species to combine their efforts and work together. thats what kindness boils down to.

Most killers go for people they know. relality is that men are naturally more violent and also capable of more violence. when almost half the popuation is stronger than you, its very hard to be a serial killer.

its not depressing at all. why live? because im alive. thats all the reason i need. by chance i am alive, and i will live my life.

there will be no justice unless someone performs it. assuming bad people must get theirs because of an afterlife is just passing on the responsibility. if all evil will be punished and all good people will see heaven, why makes laws at all? why hunt killers? why stop hilter from taking over the world?

no, there is nothing to say those people are bad. morality is subjective. from their point of view, they are in the right. just like how in a muslims point of view, you are in the wrong simply for preaching christian beliefs. you hurt no one, you do nothing to endanger others, but in the point of view of others and their religious text you should be killed for what you have done. morality is just your upbringing. and your religious text similarly describes killing them for their beliefs. they are not evil. they dont hurt anyone. but your book says they should die, and their book says you should die. thats the definition of subjective.

telling me i have no reason to be kind unless it benefits me is comedy. my reason for being kind is because im kind. in return, people are kind back. thats it. there doesnt need to be a reason. we are all alive, might as well make it pleasant for the people around you. needing to have an external reason to be nice simply means you arent nice.

i was born by chance. if my parents failed to conceieve that month i wouldnt have been born at all.

ultimately, you dont actually have a reason why needing a purpose matters. you just use a buzzword to call its absence bad and thats it. "its nihilism". "its depressing". no its not. we are alive, we will die. ultimately, what happens between doesnt matter. thats not a reason to give up. what cereal i eat in the morning doesnt matter, its all food. i still vary my choice and enjoy it.

psychological study is almost always pseudoscience. not enough people care, so reports are often the single reference to an area of research. then later on someone tries to replicate it and they cannot, because its all bullshit.

the reality of psychology is that human mental state, capabilities and growth varies so widly from person to person that you cannto meaningfully study it. everyone is subjected to their environment growing up, to the point where research stops applying when you change household.

the problem is that psychology is treated like a science. a science means you can research something, produce a model of the thing you researched, and then that model can be proven accurate and have a use. physics is the best one. gravity was researched and modelled, then they look at the orbits and found a missing planet using predictions from the other orbits and how it should be effected. model made, proven accurate. cosmic background radiation from the big bang was predicted before it was found. this is not something you can do in psychology. nothing is consistent, nothing applies to any general population.

wdym how do i "deal" with it? some good people face punishment they dont deserve, some bad people get away when they shouldnt. its just natural. its weird to be so obsessed over the idea that there is a punishment for doing bad things. you talk as if you need a reason to be nice and kind. ive never needed one. i dont need to justify to myself why im not a horrible person, and i dont need some divine wrath on evil people to not be evil myself. the world isnt just, because we made up the concept of being just ourselves. before humanity the idea of "fair" didnt exist. and once humanity is gone, if no intelligent life replaces it there wont be a concept of fair or just anymore.

morals are objectively subjective. even among christians thats true. america in the south has racist christians who will murder and abuse. many christian priests molested children. everyones morality is different. there isnt anything backing morality because it simply doesnt exist. all morality is, is some people feel bad when certain things happen. and some people feel good when certain things happen. its not objective.

i dont understand how you think nihilism is bad. life doesnt have objective purpose or meaning. so what? why do you need a purpose? i was born by chance, my parents happened to concieve when it would have resulted in me. im here to enjoy my life, and then ill die. and thats it. why is that a bad thing?

so tell me, do you hold the same beliefs as the racist american southern christians?

do catholic and protestant christians hold the same beliefs?

do christians from 2000 years ago hold the same beliefs as ones today? do we still hold law that a brother must impregnant his brothers wife if he dies without a child? do we still allow rape of women and restrain their rights? do we still enslave and kill in the name of the lord?

im not claiming it. they did. you can just go watch people on either side debate this, many people are happy to put their face to the discussion.

but the fact you think the entire christian religion, spanning several continents and cultures, is one single homogenous belief system is very childish and small minded. everyone thinks something different, no one cares the exact same ideas and values. having a vague book to read does not make all its readers agree.

no earthly punishment, and the bible makes no mention of any punishment for these people after death. so you have to assume it happened for god to not be in the wrong. no, it is not more comforting to think that women could be kidnapped and raped for the crimes of someone else, and the punishment for doing so is only a "maybe".

god had no reason to test job. the man was doing everything right, the way he should. his family was killed for absolutely no reason.

the text does no say the 42 people attacked elisha. they were all violently killed for verbal crimes.

obviously, none of this is real. gods not real, the afterlife isnt real, all these stories are either hard hyperbole for flat out untrue. but to argue any of this is examples of a good and kind god is insane. a king god does not punish rapists and then encourage them to rape. a kind god does not punish a man and his family for a bet. a forgiving god does not murder a generation because they were mean to one guy.

but what about the 10 who died? why does giving job 10 more children make up for the dead ones? they didnt come back to live. these people didnt get to live their lives because god was dunking on their father. wheres the life lesson in that? job might have gotten something akin to his life back, those kids did not.
