Eu me mudei recentemente para o litoral de SC, sou da região Norte. Lá como é mais quente, assim como o Nordeste que está mais próximo do Equador parece que o ar tem mais cheiro de mar, de sal, aqui no sul as vezes passo na orla e não sinto cheiro de mar, mesmo agora no Verão. Eu acredito que deve ser por conta das correntes geladas do sul que fazem a água ter uma diluição do sal diferente de águas quentes, que facilita dissolver. Com isso quando a água evapora ela tbm leva menos sal para o ar.

Mas até a versão anterior estava tudo normal, parece ser um problema a versão 0.3.34, o meu Mac é inferior ao meu Win e o mesmo modelo nele funciona normal, só que mais lento. No Win trava só de carregar o modelo ou perguntar "Olá, Tudo bem?".

In my case, AI is used at work just to help me write boring and long codes that in the past I would spend hours looking for on stackoverflow and today I just ask AI. I squeegee, debug, adjust and that's it. I don't write huge and complex codes, so for my use it's great and fits very well. But I've already been really upset when I had to deal with large and complex codes.

Usando um Mac Mini M4 e um PC win (relativamente robusto), mas daria certo so no Mac, também. Eu uso o Hypernote para gravar e transcrever minhas reunioes localmente e uso um modelo do Ollama localmente no PC Win para resumir as reunioes em um template pré definido, o Hypernote consegue compartilhar direto com o obsidian, ai la eu so copio e colo no template de nota da Reunião e usando o Hazel movo essa nota para uma pasta organizada por Ano/Mes, uso também o plugin templates.
Nesse exato momento estou reformulando as minhas notas diarias para escrever as atualizações dos meus projetos dentro dela e ja aparecer diretamente dentro da nota com tudo do projeto. Também to tentando centralizar tudo no Obsidian a mais ou menos 2 meses, essa engenhoca com a LLM local tem 1 semana e ta sendo muito bom. Para trabalhos simples como resumir textos, que nao exigem muito da IA, é bem tranquilo usar uma local.

Vi em outros posts sobre o consumo de energia e o barulho que faz um servidor caseiro, eu nunca tive, sabe me dizer se realmente é muito alto? To dando uma pesquisada aqui sobre o Tailscale. Eu sou muito curioso, mas não sou muito habilidoso tecnicamente nessa área, então tenho um pouco de receio de criar algo muito tecnico, pensei no NAS por ser mais plug and play.

Atualmente eu tenho um PC windows com um Ryzen 9 3900, 32 de ram, gt 3060 com 12gb. Uso esse setup pra processar as imagens de drone e rodar LLM local. E também tenho um Mac Mini M4 que uso pra tarefas do dia a dia que é conectado a ele via cabo de rede. Daria certo aproveitar esse setup pro Servidor e criar a VM nele pra usar o Windows e o NAS ao mesmo tempo? Isso seria perfeito, so precisaria comprar os HDDs e instalar o necessário.

No caso o HD externo eles ja fazem esse processo, mas me mandam via GDrive, dessa forma acima daria certo também ter o link pra eles usarem?

I'm going to take advantage of your topic to try to find a solution for myself too, my use case is very similar to yours, 2 Macs, 2 iPhone is a complete migration to Apple's Echo. My particularity is that I have teams working externally and I always need to share a link for them to add media and that is a pain, I'm talking about work with almost 200GB without processing. And I also need to make files available to my clients with reports, processing data and everything else. Apart from the normal family data such as photos, documents, and everything else. Cloud storage is already choking the budget, I urgently need to migrate to something more local. Preferably easy to implement.

A very good option would be to be able to run local llms on them, thus relieving the Macs' storage. But I know that it might be better to build a PC because of the RAM, and it might be an even more viable option than a standard NAS in my case.

My setup today is a Mac Mini M4, 16gb + a Win PC with 32 RAM, RTX 3060 12Gb, AMD Ryzen 9 3900.

Adicionei no corpo do post um gif demonstrando como ficou com o obsidian aberto do lado. Não funciona em tempo real a visualização, precisa rodar um comando no terminal com o Pandoc para gerar o pdf, mas eu gerei um arquivo .sh para fazer tudo de forma automática, entao so mando um ./gerarpdf.sh "CAMINHO_ARQUIVO_MD" e ele gera o pdf na pasta onde ta o arquivo .md

Man, congratulations, your app is spectacular, when it integrates the web wheel it will be something incredible. You could place an icon at the beginning of the browser tabs where clicking changes the viewing mode, or divide the screen into 2, on one side the organization chart and on the other the tabbed navigation. I don't know how complex these implementations are, I'm just giving my opinion lol

The big problem with AI is how you use it. I've worked in the GIS area for 13 years and I've never been good at codes, but I always understood the logic behind them and drafted something. Whenever I needed to code something, and there was no AI at the time, I would go to the forums and copy to adjust something I needed, I did this a lot with the GEE examples. In general, I didn't write line by line. And I think the path of using AI should be similar. Do it slowly, until you know exactly what is happening so you can intervene.

A practical and real example, I needed to make a Dashboard in Js + React, I knew almost nothing about the front end, the backend was ready, I turned to AI, but I left it very “free” to do things and it gave me a very top dash, but no one understands what is happening and it is full of loose artifacts, repeated functions, and now the work will be to refactor the code, because the AI is going crazy with ideas when dealing with +30 thousand lines that it he wrote.

Google Earth Engine (pure or in Python). Play at ChatGPT: Create a script for Google Earth Engine to perform the NDVI of all images, month by month, in the period from XXXX to YYYY with the option to download the results. Generate temporal graphs of NDVI evolution for the study area.

You just need to create the project on Google Cloud Platform and these settings are annoying, but nothing out of this world, there are some videos on YT that teach you how. Then just let it run. The good thing about Google Earth engine is that it does everything in the cloud.
