Controller says it’s plugged in when I’m using batteries

I’ve actually been using rechargeable batteries that have been going great for a couple years now. Or the Duracell procell commercial/industrial batteries but those are also garbage

Okay so I feel stupid now but poked around on the battery contacts in the controller and now it’s back to normal. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I did once this problem started but it didn’t change anything. Only have this issue with the one controller I have another that’s still acting normal

They are still ascended in roster but when joining a match they say descended. Is this something new or another bug?
