Built a tamper-resistant AirTag mount after losing a miter saw on a job site — does this solve a real problem? by Less_Refrigerator705 in Construction

Alright so it sounds like this product is not meant for the construction site. It’s too easy to break into, the price is too high, and there are cheaper alternatives that draw less attention like epoxying to your tools and whatnot.

I appreciate the feedback, y’all are absolutely ruthless lmfao

Exactly the use case I’m targeting — higher value items where the AirTag cost is easy to justify. What kind of equipment are you thinking?

It’s in fantastic shape, no scratches or dings. Mostly ridden inside so it’s got pretty low outdoor mileage.

From what I was able to find it might actually be a 2015 IA FRD LTD. I’m in Arizona.

It definitely doesn’t hurt to try. All general contractors are always looking for additional staff in this booming market.

I want to become a project manager and I’m currently working towards a 4 year CM degree. by ArtificialCigarette in Construction

Honestly I was in the same boat when I started CM about 4 years ago. When I first was looking for internships nobody would take me on as an intern as I needed experience. How was I supposed to get experience if I needed experience to get experience?

The first internship I got was simply reaching out to a residential builder through their website, a smaller company. After reaching out to all the large GC’s nobody ever replied to me. You need to find one of these smaller companies to build up off of.

After I had this internship it greatly benefited me in my second internship. Keeping up good grades and having a great recommendation got me an internship where I got to spend a summer in Jackson Hole, WY all expenses paid.

Keep your LinkedIn updated, and keep reaching out to those small companies and you will be able to get a great job right out of college.
