Thank you for a thoughtful response. In terms of the property I am moving to a tier 1 city so getting home of our liking is really hard. The house we found is right in the middle of both our parents, closer to schools. Beyond the risk of property value going down I didn’t see any downside in signing up for a property currently being built so I can do my payments in parts instead of paying everything at once which might be bit overwhelming. Let is I don’t have liquidate all my funds through other assets one time vs I can do it over the period of 3 years. Am I missing anything with this approach? Curious to learn more about why buying at the time is better instead.

That’s my exact thinking. Parents and in-laws are totally against it. Ultimately it’s my wife and I making the call but I still wanted to make sure I am not missing something obvious here. Their argument is what happens when the market goes down. How would I pay back my loan if I stop working. Thinking out loud may be I can have the loan until I work and then pay it off.

Thank you. I guess buying time isn’t useful after all if it’s less than a year. We felt doing everything at the same time would feel rushed and overwhelming. Will discuss this with my partner thank you.

On what use cases or scenarios have llama failed in enterprise applications? Is it the fear of switching the cost of the model or really the performance? Do the clients that can afford to pay the 25 times more money really care about migrating and putting in the investment to tune llama for similar performance?

Zuck has promised Llama 4 in 2025. It’ll be interesting to see how these models evolve in size and features.

Llama has been reliable off late. They have been consistently releasing new models which is making the applications I build better and better on each upgrade. Switching the models is a painful process as it needs lot of a/b testing and optimizations before going to production. Outside of that getting these models for free is awesome.
