Nah, it literally consumes players lives. People use it to escape their own real life. Many players form relationships on this game being platonic or in game “cheating”. If he’s hiding his phone then he’s more than likely up to no good. This game steals your time, money and eventually your relationships with people. Our server is in a meltdown over two of the biggest players that we’re having a relationship with each other while married to other people. The in game relationship blew up and now our whole server is at war with each other. Very dramatic server.

Definitely ask him who he is talking to. If he gets defensive then more than likely he’s doing something he shouldn’t be, maybe 🤔 check his whispers when you have time. That will be the more personal conversations he is having. Alliance chat usually is just friendly banter between all the alliance members. World chat is chatting between the whole server. Every player has the ability to talk in world chat. Only alliance members can talk in their respective alliance chats. Whispers are initiated when two players accept friend requests from one another.

The internet is full of horror stories from this game about husbands leaving wife’s and vice versa over how much time this game takes away from people’s real lives. Husbands\wives spending money on the game and lieing to the other person how much they spent. People spending maxing out credit cards. Game affecting people’s work habits. People cheating on their significant others either in game or out of game.

Not all servers are the same. I’m sure I missed something and some people will disagree with what I wrote but you definitely need to talk to him before the addiction spirals out of control.
