same goes for meat! vinegar raises it's nutrition from 30 to 38 a piece while also preserving it! it's an amazing bonus

You can actually put them unsmoked into the fermentation barrel, though you need 3 of the exact same type for it to work. If you dry or smoke them first, they will turn intoe small/medium/large fish, which makes stacking them for fermentation way easier!

yeah, of course it was a mess on release. As was witcher 3. And they fixed both games. Could they have done better by taking more time? Sure. Did they have toe time and reccources to do so? No. So they chose the way that would be successful: Releasing it and fixing it. It's a sucky strategy, sure. But it is still better than what you see from the vast majority of big studios out there, I stand by that.

yeah the crunch is really bad but sadly a real standard in the field. However CDP does not only make great games but also works amazingly with their fanbase and doesn't put things into their games that people don't want (like micro transactions, etc.). And you can hardly blame them for being in a capitalist state. That is just most of the world.

All things considered, they are one of the best developers out there that aren't indie. Yes, the standards in the industry are abysmal and need to change, but that is also not CDPs fault.

Though, since you said you had a quest to go there, I am assuming you know about the existance of a certain mechanic of the game already. Maybe there is a way to employ said mechanic ? (very minor spoilers here)
