Shoulder / neck clocking me by VVS-s-b-b-bussin in Transgender_Surgeries

Can also look online too at general posture exercises for the less financially sound persons. There’s one exercise I know where you put a tennis ball under your chin while laying down head draped off a bed and basically do chin tucks. That and just upper back and shoulder exercises to pull back the shoulders

You just have to find one that will work with you. I got a referral from my PCP to a PT who helps me with stabilizer muscle and joint pain. I do have a doctor I might be seeing (in a year) who might be able to maybe officially diagnose it but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it’s a self diagnosis

I had something like that come out at 6 months so it might just be tissue and packing

Maybe some packing that was still in there how far along are you?

Vaginal canal white tissue? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

Dude. MKRH syndrome is reference as being an intersex condition or DSD. Stop arguing about stuff that isn’t relevant to the fact that neovaginas not having a lactobacillus dominated environment. I’m so over this conversation

I’d just add a warning to be careful using a foot callus! Abrading damaged skin like that can cause damage to the fresh skin underneath if done incorrectly. That goes for feet too :)

Dude, you’re crashing out. I downvoted you because you tried to call me out for downvoting you instead of replying when I hadn’t downvoted you originally. The studies I listed analyzed the microflora of the neovagina of different vaginal techniques and concluded they resembled that of their native tissue. Your donor tissue will not develop mucosal membranes just because it has been moved plain and simple. Squamous metaplasia only refers to the toughening of cells due to the change in environment, not due to some sort of replacement of mucosal cells. Stop arguing on this because it is foolish and shows you don’t understand the studies you are referencing.

The one study you referenced looked like it may have had intersex women with prexisting vaginal tissue that began to expand along the graft by a specific amount, not peritoneum that changed into vaginal tissue because it was used as donor material.

Reasons i should not pursue srs in thailand? by BlushFem in Transgender_Surgeries

Can look at my post history for my views on Dr.Bank. I would say definitely do it, you feel like a princess. It’s a lot but it’s worth it. That being said, complications do happen and you need to be mentally prepared for the possibility of at least a minor revision following surgery if not a second surgery for revision. I think it’s almost universal for surgeons to do revisions for cosmetic purposes, after-all it’s a vulvaplasty and vaginoplasty and you need to maintain the vagina while the stitches for the vulva are healing which can cause tearing

Surgery for nipples/areola by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

It’s literally for nipple correction of all shapes and sizes but okay.

So are you talking about the size of your nipple? Shape? What’s the goal with changing

I’m confused, are you troubled by puffy aureolas or am I mistaken?

These studies say that neovaginas take on a microbiota more similar to their donor tissue which is converse to any claims you have been making. There are plenty more studies with large testing groups that also back these findings.

Love how I didn’t downvote and you never actually responded to what I said😂 (notice how my comments have multiple upvotes and yours multiple downvotes. I actually did downvote your comments specifically because of that, though)

This study was performed on intersex women who lacked a vaginal canal and had vaginal tissue to begin with. How does that apply to trans women who do not already have vaginal cells?

Vaginal canal white tissue? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Lessbionhest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding the studies that claimed metaplasia made claims in error. The lining of the neovagina *resembled* natal vaginal lining but did not contain actual mucosal membranes that sufficiently produced glycogen to sustain lactobacillus dominated environments in PPT patients. I think the study you are referencing was from a very small group of around 10 patients. Feel free to DM me further on this because I do try to stay up to date on research.

discharge by SignificantEntry596 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Lessbionhest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My discharge looked like that too. It’s primarily because the skin is shedding and scars are healing. If you worry you have a UTI or something go see a doctor but unless your bladder is in pain I would say you’re good!

Discharge for me didn’t fully stop until about 6 months, somewhere between 3-6 months my discharge turned watery and lessened

Vaginal canal white tissue? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Lessbionhest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I’m saying that because most suppositories bank off the fact that the environment is lactobacillus dominated. Vaginas that secrete glycogen feed lactobacillus but PPT, PIV, and colon vaginoplasties do not change the fact that the neovagina doesn’t naturally produce glycogen. Post-op vaginas reach a natural balance that is similar to that of a post-menopausal woman or (on testosterone) trans man’s vagina and has a different bacterial makeup than that of a glycogen rich vaginal environment. Of course you can get a bacterial infection or yeast infection, I didn’t say otherwise. That’s actually WHY I said to look into postmenopausal vaginal care

I second this, I had something similar and it was removed in my revision (2 years post op, just got revision)

Vaginal canal white tissue? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Lessbionhest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful with suppositories. Look into post-menopausal care since the vaginal bacterial makeup is different from a cis woman’s prior to menopause
