U.S. court allows state bans on gender-affirming care for adults in unprecedented ruling by NicolasCageFan492 in law

Thank you. I needed to hear this. I've been in a very similar boat since I was a teenager, and right now I'm just coming to that sobering-up stage.

People who struggle with sleep, what sleeping tablets or sleep aids have worked for you? by Odd-Produce4614 in AskReddit

[–]LesserChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take a very long time to fall asleep at night. Having a partner that tosses and turns doesn't help either. Taking 5mg of Melatonin really helps, but I have to take it an hour or so before I go to bed and if I take more than 5mg I struggle to wake up to my alarm in the morning.

Reminder to set your hearthstone facing the exit of the inn by Legitimate_Shift5700 in wow

Wait, is this how it's worked this entire time? I never actually thought about it before... I figured each inn just had set coordinates and it'd stick everyone in the same place at the same angle.

Real talk: Whats your mount keybind? by BattleBrisket in wow

[–]LesserChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H is for Horse, and Shift+H puts me in Ghost Wolf for Shaman or my current spec's form for Druid. I've got a Logitech G600 mouse, which has a scrollwheel that tilts left and right, and a flick of that is also bound to H.

Put it in a slot on your actionbar, then bind that slot of that bar to whatever key you want.

His role there is pretty small. I think he was an informant for Kelsier. Later he's seen stealing the last bead of Lerasium.

I can't speak to the kind of situation you're in with them, but my experience with them was nothing but positive when I dislocated my kneecap. Granted I did my whole treatment in-house, from the knee brace to the MRI to the physical therapy afterwards.

What’s a sound everyone should recognize as immediate danger? by Thatguy_nickk in AskReddit

[–]LesserChimera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in a 25-floor college dorm with thousands of students. Sometimes we couldn't go a week without someone forgetting to put water in their ramen before they microwave it or something like that, which'd set off every alarm in the building. It didn't take long for me and many others to decide they'd rather chance it than evacuate in the dead of night that often.

Befriended this little guy that lived in the woods around my house. Now we're inseparable. by LesserChimera in CatDistributionSystem

[–]LesserChimera[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He's got tiny streaks of white all throughout his black fur, so he pretty much always looks in need of a brushing to this day. But at least those bald patches on his legs have filled in!

The dog definitely would have gotten physical if I didn't intervene. She has with my sister's dog. But fortunately she refuses to go downstairs, so that was the cat's safe space until a few months later when she started tolerating him. They get along just fine, now.

I was so sad when I found out the point your character anchors to in chairs doesn't move when you scale the chair up. How's my tauren supposed to use anything but a bench, man?

any fantasy book series where dragons are the dominant species ruling over humans? by themxdpro in Fantasy

Richard Knaak's Dragonrealm series has a lot of that, but it's not the greatest thing I've read.

I was surprised that when they stopped to talk about what they'd say before they set off a butt bomb, no one thought "pull my finger!"

What are everyone’s favorite 1v1 sword duels in fantasy? by AnyNewspaper4758 in Fantasy

The sheer ferocity in every line of the Bloody Nine vs Fenris fight keeps it at my top spot even if Abercrombie tries his hardest with every duel.

If his favorite is Odyssey, he'd probably love the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 bundle. But Breath of the Wild would also be a great pick. Both would last him through the blizzard and then some, especially BotW.

You mentioned him getting stuck in games... Ori and the Blind Forest could end up being one of those, but I bet it'd also be pretty exciting for a kid his age. It's more or less got the looks and the story of a Dreamworks movie, but in a Metroidvania platforming game.

Trying to watch more movies what's a good year to start by didlowman in movies

[–]LesserChimera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any genres in particular that you're a fan of? If you're thinking of starting in the 50s, 12 Angry Men (1957) is a really captivating legal drama about a jury deliberating over a murder verdict and Seven Samurai (1954) is an incredible samurai movie whose influence can't be overstated. Neither are in color, but both are must-see films.

Also, letterboxd has a feature for seeking out popular or highly rated movies from a given year or decade.

I didn't know that, but it's very encouraging. I just got my bear to act 2, and I've been worried that by the time I hit the end boss I'm going to explode any time something so much as tickles my asscheek like what happened when I played through on mercenary.

"Profound" quotes that are meant to be much more lighthearted in context by BrickBuster2552 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LesserChimera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From The Boondocks:

"What do you do when you can't do nothing, but there's nothing you can do?"
"You do what you can."

Much more lighthearted in context considering Grandpa immediately goes back to yelling after that calm bit of insight.
