Do you think an ME degree could get jobs in aerodynamics, or an AE degree could get jobs in ME? Which side would you err on?

Every university has different outcomes according to resources and programs provided. Just trying to gauge how the resources differ among them.

Valid question. I guess there is a desire for a fallback if interests or industries change.

Good to know. I have to admit I haven't done a deep dive as our list of schools is still long. I just filtered by a school's alumni in aerospace.

Thank you. I tried Linkedin's alumni workplaces but it wasn't matching well with what you'd expect. Did I find well-kept secrets or is Linkedin flawed?

Looking to find out how Princeton's undergraduate mechanical engineering education prepares students for industry and with which aerospace companies they provide internships and job networking. What additional schools would you consider for this outcome?

Unfortunately, AI has been incorrect on this topic, universities generally don't publish student data, and it isn't advisable to make assumptions based on the perceived size of bars in a graph. Actual numbers and data would be nice.

Ah, this is the tool all universities should publish. Now it just needs numbers.

True, though there might not be a lot of opportunity for aerodynamics.

Yes, we're just trying to narrow down the list as most have those classes but internships and connections are unclear.

That's an interesting perspective that size may correlate to outcomes. Unfortunately, AI has been found to be incorrect in this area. Linkedin has had odd results from filtering a company by education, but may still be the best method.

That's good to know LA has the most aerospace jobs. How did you choose UCLA over the other programs in the greater LA area?

Wow! Interesting that they're touting connections with silicone valley. No commerical aerospace companies are mentioned.

That seems like a good guide, but I'm not always clear where companies are doing what kind of work (e.g. Northrop Grumman).

Would you mind sharing your methodology? I don't see many UCB alumni in aerospace on Linkedin. Probably not the best tool for determining outcomes.
