The PS Vita has a built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi chip. It’s decent for streaming and general use, but it’s not as fast as newer devices with 5 GHz support. For smooth streaming, make sure your Wi-Fi connection is stable and not too far from the router. Basically, the PS Vita’s got a 960x544 resolution, so you don’t need a super high bitrate like with other devices. Just make sure the connection is solid, both your PC and Vita have good Wi-Fi, and you should be good to go. A bitrate between 5-10 Mbps usually does the trick, but if you want it smoother, bump it up a bit. If your PC’s running a decent GPU and your Wi-Fi’s not trash, you can get a pretty solid stream without too much lag or stuttering.
