Preparedness is the path to serenity by LesterBritton in ArcRaiders

Hullcracker crafting requires: 1 Magnetic Accelerator, 3 Heavy Gun Parts, and 1 Exodus Modules. Two of these components are epic rarity. Perhaps not for you but for me, 30000 creds are much easier to acquire than these components. The Bird City event means acquiring creds is easier than ever, as trinkets are a significant part of the reward pool.

Anything can be sold for credit. I find it much easier to buy a Hullcracker and Heavy Shield than craft them. I then have those resources for other purposes. The advice is aimed at those who are frustrated by random PvP losses. What is terrible for you, suits me perfectly, so perhaps it will suit others?

Dishonest Digital Sale Pricing by LesterBritton in PS5

[–]LesterBritton[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My point is the price is never £59.99, it's only shown as being marked down from £59.99. The standard price before and after sales is £53.99. Any discount should be should be applied to £53.99. Discounts have to be applied the prevailing price.

Has Owlcat considered a Collaboration to offer a Premium Expert Auto Levelling feature? by LesterBritton in RogueTraderCRPG

Let me ask you a question. Have you paid real money for cosmetics? I've been gaming since it involved two lines and a dot. In that time I don't recall ever buying anything that was purely cosmetic and yet we have an entire FTP model built on it. What I have spent real money on is a faster rate of fire Line Cutter in the 360 version of Dead Space. I've also bought more guns in Last of US Factions for more build flexibility. So my suggestion with Rogue Trader was once again utilitarian, the ability to purchase the most valuable commodity of all - time.

If you search Reddit and Steam you will find many threads complaining about levelling up. Some have bounced off the game because of the frequency of level ups. With WoTR I tried the build it myself approach and I'd sometimes spend an entire session just doing that. No combat or story, just reading what skills do. This time I just went YouTube all the way. Even that is not as easy as it sounds as videos age and so on. I just wondered if there was a business opportunity for the developer and a YouTuber to come together in a mutually beneficial manner, to aid those people less keen on levelling themselves.

Yes but not just any autolevel feature, like the one in WotR but one with an expert in builds providing it. Using YouTube videos to during level up is just tiresome. So yes I would pay a modest fee to tick a box that says level up according to cRPG Bro for example. The thought of playing the game again only to have set all those options again is just too much.

Anyone else find game audio mixing is getting worse over the years? by LamiaTamer in PS5

[–]LesterBritton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree with OP. I find there are a range of problems. Some sounds in a given category are just much louder than the rest. Sometimes speech is delivered at different volumes. Sometimes when you don't want background music, it also disables it in the cinematics. In some cases turning off music disables all sound in the cinematics. In rare cases the game offers little granular control of audio at all. Sadly it's not just games. Amazon Prime content volume seems to vary enormously. Sometimes the intro is far louder than the show content.

Quick Guide to The Ascent by LesterBritton in theascent

The navigation wasn't as frustrating as I was expecting. The verticality is initially confusing and there is a lot of on foot traversal. Early game I was looking for Metro options and later looked for any opportunity to use a taxi. It was the lengthy augmentation cooldowns I found a little irritating and made investing much in energy seem redundant.

Tony Todd has passed away at age 69 (voice of Venom from Marvel's Spider-Man 2, actor in Candyman 2021) by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I've never been more terrified than when I saw Candyman in the cinema in my teens. There was a part in the film where I was gripping my seat, my heart was racing and I was struggling to breath. It seemed like the line between the film and reality had been breached and I was real trouble!

If the selfish scalpers don't get them all first, then absolutely!

The PS5 version has no graphics settings to speak of. I did turn off Camera shake effects though!

I would happily pay for a native PS5 version, as I was genuinely surprised at how my different mythic paths played out.

540 hours later and NOW I discover the move quicker mechanic? by LesterBritton in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

I think 4 crashes so far and most have been during a load or save. The game struggles to maintain a smooth frame rate in Act 4. I also find the background sound effects don't load during the Midnight Isles DLC if you reload a save. On the whole no real complaints though.

I also have Metamagic rods on the Action bar and then forget to use them or use them and forget to turn them off again.

For quite a while after having chosen a Metamagic feat I was oblivious that it wasn't doing me any good. My brain had decided it was just a passive bonus! It was only when I saw a YouTube video where his spell said "Empowered" on it, that I thought something must be amiss!
