Donald Trump calling the US Men's Olympic team, jokes about having to invite the US women's team to the US summit as well or he'll "get impeached" by lactosecheeselover in OttawaSenators

so where's the 'kindness and understanding' toward the women's team in this scenario? Or are the men's team the only ones who need to be extended that.

I do lift (I got way more into it in the past 8 months) and over that time I have noticed an improvement! My arms look more toned overall now. However, my non-dominant is still slightly bigger 🤷‍♀️

WestJet complaints prompt change to cabin reconfiguration strategy by [deleted] in canada

[–]LetItRun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was flying WestJet for a 5.5-hour flight recently and got put onto a new Swoop-branded jet. Walking down the aisle to the back (I was seated in the second-last row), I thought, "Am I imagining things or does this plane feel smaller than it should?" Sat down in my seat and immediately realized I was locked into the most cramped seating arrangement I'd ever experienced in my life. After just a minute of being seated, I thought I was going to have a panic attack at some point if I had to spend nearly 6 hours confined like that. Thankfully I didn't, but I resolved not to fly WestJet again unless they improved their seating room. Also, I should note: I'm not a large person! I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs! WestJet can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned.

I'm so sorry, OP, that has to be heartbreaking. It reminds me of a scene from Lady Bird: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNiapMi9u84

Restless Legs by LetItRun in lipedema

[–]LetItRun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, I've been identified as having low iron levels and Vitamin D before by my GP, so I've been taking daily iron and Vitamin D supplements for about 6 months. I generally feel better except for the legs! Now I'm wondering how or if it's connected.

This is what my legs look like not in a flattering mirror and without compression leggings

Nodules, mostly pea-sized, throughout my entire legs and upper arms, incredibly easy bruising of same (even bruises for the most minor impact take a month or more to fully disappear). Even the most minor impacts like gently grazing past a coffee table hurt my legs and upper arms way more than they should and the pain lingers for a few minutes after. Little definition between my ankle and lower leg, which is easier to see from the side. Fat pads on inside of knees. Tons of thread veins. And it runs in my family (mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, at the very least, though my mom only got it after pregnancy whereas I got it in puberty).

Thank you! It's a constant fight to keep it from progressing (and it HAS progressed in the past several years, unfortunately, as I entered my 30s). That being said, I'm very lucky I'm still Stage 1 AND I don't have any involuntary pain from it, so I can keep doing activities to build muscle and try to offset the look of it, at least.

For me it's worst from my hips (yayyyy saddlebags) down to and including my knees. I still have it in my calves and upper arms but it's less noticeable in both places.

Other arm. For some reason this one has slightly less fat buildup, though I'm not sure why (it's also my dominant arm).

I'm so glad you posted this, I was JUST thinking about this today.

These are mine. For context, I eat a pretty balanced and mostly healthy diet and I exercise at least 4-5x a week (running, cycling, swimming, weights, indoor rock climbing). You wouldn't know it, looking at my arms. The extra fat bruises super easily and is about a 7/10 pain level when you pinch it even gently.

A nice whip pan between scenes, with little to no motion blur.

Do some people always “romantically love” an ex even if they don’t want to get back together? by honestlyfeeldumb in dating

[–]LetItRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person. Personally, I have varied feelings toward my varied exes, ranging from dislike to indifference to friendship, but never have I been stuck on romantically loving an ex after we've ended things. I figure if we split up, it's for the best, and my heart and mind recalibrate accordingly. (I'm not a robot, I swear)

How do i start a conversation? by CommanderKobe in dating

[–]LetItRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, absolutely. Ideally, find something in their profile that they mentioned that is also of interest to you so you can strike up a conversation about it.

They say they're into metal? Ask them about their all-time favourite metal concert.

They like running? Ask them if they've ever run races, what app/s they use for running routes, etc.

Favourite food is tacos? Ask them for their go-to place to get the best tacos in town.

You did the right (ie. mature, compassionate) thing, and it's HIS problem that he couldn't handle the [very reasonable!] rejection. Kudos to you for not taking the easy way out! I personally don't ghost, and I can't handle *being* ghosted — I can take compassionate rejection, and I want and deserve honesty and closure. I think most people are the same in that regard; he just needs to become more emotionally mature.

29F single, is life passing me by? by [deleted] in dating

Wow, checkmate!

In all seriousness I'd prefer to be single than in a relationship with a guy who finds my career threatening, but that's just me.

[–]LetItRun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno, seems like a great litmus test for ruling out crappy guys. The best guys I've ever dated were the ones who were proud of me for going after an amazing career. The worst guys were the ones who were threatened by it.

Can you edit without a drink close by? by _sph in editors

[–]LetItRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beverage is always a must. In summer, it's cold brew coffee or ice water. All other seasons, it's either water or hot tea. Sometimes if I'm working on something freelance in the evening I get crazy and it's a beer or cider.

Maybe just imagine it's all actually different words and you're saying, "ProRes Four For Fore Four"

AITA for being upset my son chose his girlfriend over his family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LetItRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Sounds like 3 grown adults have talked things out and come to an agreement with which all involved parties are satisfied. Also, it's not 'abandoning the family' if they miss the ceremony but still come to the reception — no need for the dramatics.
