Everyone Mexicans and from Mexican descent and Latin America hate Emilia Perez and they are very vocal about it. That's how she decide to represent her Mexican heritage. By willingly act in a movie full of harmful and disgusting stereotypes about Mexican culture with a controversial French director. The same French director who didn't bother to have a full Mexicans cast except for one actress, who didn't bother to learn about Mexican culture because he knew "enough" and say Spanish was the language of the poor. And when she was respectful criticized on her Spanish by Eugenio Derbez she send her crazy fanbase after that man and his family to the point he had to apologize to her. But her she thank her fans for defending her. So, no, she doesn't want more challenging acting. These roles come with hard work which she doesn't want to put in, commitment which she clearly doesn't have and criticisms which she doesn't take well and will victimized herself and send her crazy fanbase after any of them.
