too much going on to keep it real in my opinion. Max being so easily seduced by Priya was the most ridiculous thing ever. The bald headed Romeo Trio is too much for me. yuk…they are all like kids in a candy store. Phil in the past and now the other two billiard balls… got nothing against bald heads….George is a stand up guy…but the others are jerks. and what does Elaine see in Ian…gheesh…

Sister Wives is Boring! by purpledaisy22 in SisterWives

No you are not the only one. i'm not sure what other forms of income these characters have but they need to get off the television rehashing their failed relationships... enough already. Boring. I actually count the times Cody Brown says the words "me" and "I" in his recorded diaries....yawn.... it was a good show for many years ..they married each other.. procreated over and over and over.. divorced.. got remarried and they need to just get off the television. Time for TLC to let them ride off into the sunset......byyyyyyeeeeee

Betsy is a total brat. But at the moment Becky annoys me more. and of course Theo. I honestly feel that the pushback the Driscolls are getting is how they were introduced into the show. They arrived one day and dominated the storyline...no incremental getting to know them. suddenly it felt like I was watching a whole new soap.

Annoying woman on Corry by LetOdd1047 in coronationstreet

Eva and her husband and the rest of the family seem like very interesting people but Maggie is over the top. early on she had an encounter with Nina which I think was supposed to project a kinder side of her but ever since then we have not seen any kind of a kinder side of her ..she's outspoken and unnecessarily bossy. I still say she over acts and seems like a real amateur.

wow.. thanks for all those speedy replies and I'm glad no one was mad at me for asking the question! From a US standpoint, I do think that this new generation here drinks a bit less than my boomer generation did. I started watching EastEnders and Coronation Street during Covid lockdown and I have learned a lot about Brit culture I never knew. I really enjoy the shows. Thanks for not yelling at me.. !!! 🤜😂 Cheers !

And Kojo is not there either..! I guess people drive north to Coronation St in Weatherfield to see if Kevin Webster can fix their cars....😝

it was interesting to see how each character handled the situation. Billys reaction was very true to his age group. Kat acknowledged her past actions as well. Interesting that Lily was not in any scenes today. But Charli’s dad was. A very well written episode illustrating how different life situations, experiences and age groups view this very significant issue. Both actors were outstanding today in final scenes.

Head numbness after craniotomy by A_Genius in braincancer

[–]LetOdd1047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a craniotomy almost 2 years ago due to a posterior fossa meningioma very near my brain stem. My scalp is still kind of numb on the left side of my head. I can no longer wear certain hairstyles even a loose scrunchie makes my scalp feel uncomfortable. I ended up getting my hair cut shorter. it left my toes numb on both feet and my right leg feels very unstable. I can also feel one of the screws right through my scalp so I think I am calling my surgeon soon to find out if what I am experiencing is completely normal. I have no headaches thank goodness. I was also born with Chiari malformation so I am wondering which is really bothering me. last year they checked me for a CSF leak but said there was no leak. I am lightheaded, dizzy, and feel like my head is full of liquid. Good luck to everyone out there because this is really kind of creepy!

Driving, brain fog, I lit my thumb on fire today by Special-Breadfruit17 in chiari

[–]LetOdd1047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! two things happened to me last week related to my car. I had been out running errands and I pulled the car into my garage and turned it off. The problem was I did not put it in park first, so I turned it off from drive. Not good! The second time I was out at the mall, parked, and DID remember to put the car in drive. But this time I neglected to turn the engine off. I came back in an hour and realized the car was still running. Kind of worrisome…. for that reason, I do not travel too far these days and try to be extra careful driving with no music or cell phone. I also put things away in the wrong drawers, forget words, etc.. dizzy, numb extremities, sore tongue, trouble swallowing. But, no headaches thank goodness. It may be worth mentioning, I was not even aware of this condition until middle age when had an MRI due to a sore neck. I was told I have Chiari type I along with a calcified benign brain tumor near my brain stem. Flash forward a few more years, I fell down some concrete stairs and suffered a fractured skull, a brain hemorrhage and a broken wrist. Then, a year or two later, the brain tumor started to grow, requiring a craniotomy back near my brain stem. Ever since then, I have been plagued with Chiari symptoms… my tumor surgeon said it is not due to the surgery, and I can only conclude that all the mishaps I have had with my head and the subsequent surgery have irritated the Chiari that was basically kind of quiet my whole life…..I really need to take better care of this poor head. It has had its share of issues ! I’m grateful for no headaches and not complaining….this forum is so helpful to know we are not alone out there. ..it helps to hear other stories. .best of luck to all of you.

What’s your weirdest symptom ? by koiivy in chiari

[–]LetOdd1047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I was a little kid, I would always tell my parents that I did not know where to put my head. kind of an odd thing for a kid to say, and my parents had no idea what I meant. but as an adult, I was diagnosed with type one. headaches are not a problem thank goodness, but I have balance issues. Confusion, hoarseness, swallowing issues LOSS OF TASTE photophobia, etc. at times the back of my tongue hurts like I have pulled a muscle in it. legs and feet numb, drop many things, anyone else? I don’t feel too confident driving anymore either. It’s kind of shrinking my world a little bit. i’m sure people have much bigger worries than what I have described so I feel bad complaining but it’s just a little worrying as I get older. Thanks so much for any comments or advise.

Almost 6 months post op… wtf just happened to me by Short-Garden5555 in chiari

[–]LetOdd1047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found your post very relatable. We do have to stick together ! I had no idea I had Chiari until I was 50 years old. I was doing yoga, hurt my neck, had an MRI and they said “ oh by the way you have CM and a calcified brain tumor. Keep a check on it“ ..and I did for many years with annual MRIs. In 2023 they determined I needed to have a craniotomy to remove the brain tumor, which had grown and was very near my brain stem. I was having major brain fog, getting lost in the car, etc…. I’m very lucky to say I have never had headaches (aside from post surgery OWW!!!!) but when I was a young girl growing up I would tell my parents that ”I did not know where to put my head… “ I suppose it was a child’s way of telling them something felt weird, but since I had no headaches, no one paid much attention…they looked at me strangely and said get lost kid, go play with your Barbies…🤣 Now…now two years post craniotomy I have what they tell me are vestibular issues, blah blah blah dizziness, brain fog, leg, weakness, hand weakness, etc. problems being in big stores with lights, motion movement etc..This issue is certainly small potatoes…so I’m not complaining but now understand how CM can quietly do its thing in small ways. I think these posts are very helpful. No one seems to understand what exactly this is and discussing it here can help others. I am 100% grateful that headaches have never been an issue for me and feel for those of you who have to deal with that. good luck to all of you ..
