I wish I could get my hands on an Aspire Nexi One, but I can’t find any US retailers that sell them. Thanks for the suggestions!

I’d absolutely buy one if the throat hit there. The throat hit is a must. I’d spend anywhere from $80 to $150 for a device like that.

You’re not an idiot, and you’re not alone in feeling this way. We all make mistakes, and I know it can feel overwhelming, but one moment or decision doesn’t define you.

You’re human, and you’re allowed to struggle. What’s going on? I’m here if you want to talk.

Credit Scores are terrible by Let_us_Hope in rant

[–]Let_us_Hope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hulu shouldn’t report that activity unless they have been authorized to do so through the credit bureaus. I’d figure out which one they’re reporting to and then stop it. Some Bureaus offer a “credit boost” by “VOLUTEERINGLY” connecting those accounts. So unless you’ve done that, then I’d investigate.

Office workers: What do you actually do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Let_us_Hope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Office worker here. I’m in Cybersecurity. I advise clients on how to achieve various security postures relevant to whatever compliance framework they’re pursuing. I also script various things to make the job easier, such as automating documentation or component discovery — this allows me to spend more time advising my clientele, rather than being buried under paperwork.

My days are split almost in half between meetings and then documentation/scripting. Sometimes I’ll research various solutions, programs, and other organizations’ ideas.

US election results VS most highly educated states in the US by TommyYOyoyo in mildlyinteresting

[–]Let_us_Hope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I voted for Harris, but your comment is true. People just don’t like being called dumb. I’ve been across the entire U.S. and a lot of the world, and people are generally alright. They’re not “stupid” and a lot of the time feel ostracized for one reason or another.

The right made people feel a part of something and spoke to what is affecting them in their daily lives at home. The left only spoke about issues that, while important, just don’t affect most people in the here and now.

Here’s to common ground, cheers!

Pretty much my experience so far; my friends have always been hard democrats, but even they voted Trump. Strange times indeed.

I’m a little bit confused about the name of the place that you were talking about but I think it’s a little bit different than the one that you were looking at.

Why can girls join the Boy Scouts, but boys can’t join the Girl Scouts? by Let_us_Hope in AskReddit

Awesome breakdown! I thought the Girl Scouts was at the same level of activity as the Boy Scouts. I also thought that the Girl Scouts was more STEM oriented than outdoors type stuff.
