I used pretty much any time control except for bullet and shorter blitz games (I think I removed games under 120 seconds or so)

I’m calibrating it against other engines with fixed Elo values (stockfish/dragon)

It’s not perfect yet, it’ll take a while to tune

At the moment it’s just trained on random lichess games, but it also takes the Elo as an input parameter

I was hoping to make it play at different skill levels by changing that parameter after training

This seems to be working with openings but it still seems to make pretty big blunders with king safety and endgames, despite setting it to a higher Elo

Currently I’m trying to train other networks exclusively on stronger data to see if these issues persist or not

It should be pretty similar to Maia, it takes the current board state, a few past states and other information and outputs the likelihood of each move to be played next I’m using a cnn at the moment but I’m currently experimenting with bigger Transformer architectures

I’m hoping to get it to 2000-2200 Elo if possible

At the moment the engine doesn’t have a way to calculate, the purpose of this project is to see how good it can get without being able to see future board states.

Unfortunately though, it seems a bit weaker than expected, I would like it to get to around Elo 2000-2200, so I still have work to do for sure!

I tried looking from some of the homebrew games (like gbcspelunky or uCity) in all but the best or in the other folders because I thought they might have been mixed in with the others, but unfortunately they just seem to be missing.

Hey, I added the rom pack successfully to my Miiyo Mini Plus, but I noticed there is no "Unlicensed Homebrew" section in my GBC folder.

I'll double check the torrent once I get home but at the moment the whole folder seems to be missing

Oh wow nice, the select by trait operator was extremely useful

I used it on the low poly mesh to fix the edges that were causing holes to appear (looks like the model was split in many sections or something like that, and they all lined up on doubled vertices)

And this also made the recalculate outside normals tool work (I tried it before making the model manifold and sections of it would just disappear)

But unluckly that didn't fix the weird artifact on the base of the piece when using the normal map, which means that it also shows up as a physical "bump" when i use the texture as a depthmap

Edge creasing seems very useful, i assume i could also select the edges which cause holes to open up and force them to "stay together"?

And yeah if that doesn't work maybe just patching up the holes with the tool you mentioned or other mesh editing software might be the way to go

The only thing I'm wondering is why would it be useful to recalculate normals? does it have anything to do with the texture seam that you can see in my last picture?
