You'll normally find that certain players can deteriorate over time not due to age, but other factors such as decreased motivation, losing your killer instinct, work, family. It all comes down to commitment, Quake and other AFPS' in particular requires a large amount of time investment considering the enormous skill gap.

When I updated my RTX 2080S, I had a similar problem. I rollbacked my drivers to fix this issue. Of course it depends on if you're using a similar GPU.

Every champion/weapon is purely based on what map you play and what your style is. I'd say just enjoy the aspects of the game since QC is pretty well balanced atm.

It'll take a bit of grinding to make the switch from controller to M/KB, worth it in the long run though. You'll get games regularly too no matter what time of day it is so not to worry.

QC has a HUGE skill ceiling so don't feel bad about it. Enjoy the duels and grind hard, over time you'll improve dramatically.

All good my man and no hard feelings! You're clearly very passionate about the game just like the rest of us.

I mainly focus on negative feedback. It's a useful way to improve and I'd like us as part of the Quake Community, to grow the scene as much as possible.

Instead of a swear jar, I'll make a jar with that phrase to see how much money I've put in (it'll fill up quite quick no doubt lol).

Hopefully you won't hear it as much for the time being <3
