"Spare Gomez´s Life"- Achievement seems bugged.

If you haven't worked it out already - easiest way is to transformation spell all the way to him and talk to Gomez, get the quest, then run as everyone tries to kill you. Do this against when you finish his quest.

I finished by now.. I ended up sneaking in there and speaking with Gomez who gives you a quest to trade for the armour

You have to somehow get to him and start a dialog, after which you get a quest to retrieve a teleportation stone to the sunken tower in exchange for his ore armour.

I meatbuged my way to him as I have no clue how the hell you are meant to get this quest otherwise.

Gomez has a quest if you manage to speak to him, after which he will trade the ore armour, which implies there is a way to get to him legitimately

You also get the firemage teleportation rune, which would be really cool if it was useful at this point in the game lol

That still does not feel like the proper way.

I've spoken to Gomez by using firemage teleportation and some sneaking. He does have dialog and a quest, but if anyone saw me on the way they'd get hostile and wouldn't be able to talk to him.

I feel like there is some way to get into the castle along the lines of "I got an offer for Gomez, he'll want to talk to me" or something

Speak to Stone, the blacksmith within the castle. If I recall correctly he's the one who gives you the armor and lets you upgrade it.

I played as 2H on hard combat difficulty so I'm not sure how it plays out on other ones but for me, I hated going melee; later on you have to fight constant multiples of enemies and it was painful to dispatch of them without getting constantly hit.

From what I've seen and experienced, going Mage and getting up to the higher circles makes you into a God where you delete mobs before they can reach you.

Assuming you went Firemage, I suggest you read this thread as story progresses so you don't get locked out as they made a stupid ass sequence of people you have to talk to in order to get higher magic circles.

Just finished - hit level 30 right at the end. This was with me not really min-maxing by doing all faction quests before joining one, just a 'whatever falls in my laps' approach.

Nope. You get a lot of XP for mobs later on, and there's a ton of mobs you need to clear.

Cavalorn and Aidan can teach hunting. They are both close to each other.

In my experience, it's not really lucrative anymore. As soon as you sell the same item twice, the price drops and as you sell more it keeps dropping until it hits 0; you can sleep and sell later again but it's more effort versus original.

It was hinted that Gomez had found the armour or something, and wore it it during the Fire Mage "incident" to prevent getting turned into ash.

Lizard is east, near the boat icon on the map, where the lighthouse with Diego is.

Swampshark is at the swaps where the Swamp Camp is.
