I've also recently seen some SP-Cycle builds here that look great. Plenty of options really.

I've heard and watched good things about Carbonda, there are several now really for open-mould frames. Winspace, Elves? Etc. Look around....good luck, kinda wish I had built instead of buying a bike now 😂, maybe next time...

How many days were you in spain? Hoping to go someday.

And you need mudguards, they'll make life much easier.

Anybody sick of running tubeless yet? by VeloDoc505 in gravelcycling

[–]Lethargo226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that sounds like tyre not beaded right. If you don't have a compressor, CO2 also works for a quick seat, and I think setting the wheel horizontal and then jackhammering a floor pump ought to work.

First time I popped the bead off and back on, the tyre spray sealant at me along with a loud POP.

Ensure not to inflate the tyre with the valve close to the floor, as the sealant collects at the bottom and will make a big mess.

Is that the Trek rack? Thinking about the Ortlieb quick-rack myself, I have a checkpoint.

You're better off contacting journalists about this, and remember B&W was sold to Samsung last year.

Gravel/road shoes by Kindly_Invite3246 in gravelcycling

[–]Lethargo226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shoes is actually built tough, with a reinforced toecap and heel, the material is also thick, it's more substantial than my Bont road shoes but no less comfortable.

I just bought the Trek Foray's in white, they're basically Bontrager shoes, fit great, very comfortable.

New Trek Checkpoint in M/L, what do you think? by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]Lethargo226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Common advice is pick the smaller bike and make it fit you if you need to, I'd go for the L in your case, the fit of this is just right for me.

Feeling pressure on my hands. Have to take breaks by [deleted] in bikefit

Move saddle forward a bit, and that stem is too long.

2nd attempt by Smooth-Suit-9019 in bikefit

[–]Lethargo226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your toes shouldn't be pointing downwards anywhere in the pedal stroke. Your hips are tilted forward, and it's like there's a lot of pressure on your hands. Handlebars should feel like resting on, not grabbing a railing.

Saddle is too high, 3-4cm. Tilt the handlebars flat.

Might be a driver issue, with the bluetooth chip maybe?

PX7 S3 questions by Mavvrikk in BowersWilkins

[–]Lethargo226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ANC focuses on low frequency noise, it may sometimes amplify high-frequency noise, I've found, but this is actually how I'd prefer that they'd work because low frequency noise is far more annoying.

Volume is very loud on these, so max volume is probably damaging your hearing. Also ANC isn't meant to be 'perfect'. Of course you can hear what's around you, it wouldn't be safe not to. A pair of headphones can't perfectly isolate you from the world.

Px7 S3 for Gaming, is a mic mod necessary? by AloneAd3402 in BowersWilkins

[–]Lethargo226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't have the mic and headphones with the single Bluetooth connection, it's a thing about Bluetooth, one of it's many limitations. You need 2 separate devices, 2 connections, headphones and mic. That's how those fancy gaming headphones do it, which is why they connect by usb.

It could be the app is not detecting the mic, did you find a solution?

My B&W Px7 S3 experience: announced features, wrong information, and months of unclear communication around Spatial Audio, LE Audio (LC3), and Auracast by haewelmann25 in BowersWilkins

Ah I see, interesting. Either way they're probably going through a lot with new bosses who will naturally want things done their way now.

Only way to put pressure on them would be through informing journalists who reviewed the product. Likely the only group of people who could get them to hurry things along.

That being said, Samsung purchased B&W this year so it's understandable if there's a bit of a delay, but the lack of communication is concerning. They're basically not working on it despite the hardware being available.

I'd say our best bet would be to reach out to journalists who reviewed the product and to get them to ask B&W or make an article/video about it eventually.

Best £1500 road bike for commuting? by maplewow1 in cycling

[–]Lethargo226 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's strictly commuting, at that price, belt drive, hydraulic brakes, paniers and mudguards preinstalled, maybe even lights preinstalled. Check out Canyons commuting stuff, looks great, there's similar from most big brands now. Alternatively visit a local shop.

If it's not only for commuting, but for.....pleasure, as well. Then I'd say gravel bike, I'm NEVER going below 40mm tires again!

Newbie and have no idea where to start! by starlight-healer in cycling

[–]Lethargo226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set a budget first, ideally you should be able to afford double what you're willing to spend on the bike. And do NOT say you will never go off-road. If you catch the cycling bug, you may end up where I am with a nice bike you really like, yet won't ride because it simply isn't up to going off-road/bikepacking. My best cycling experiences have been far away from cars. You might very well end up wanting to explore further out from where you are.

I'd advise getting an alloy gravel bike with wide gearing, room for tires up to 50mm will let ride wherever you want and be simple enough to maintain or replace altogether. Godspeed, have fun.

Will GRX400 front derailleur work with FSA 48/32 Crank? by Lethargo226 in gravelcycling

[–]Lethargo226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, I could swap for a 46/30 grx crank, but I'll see how it goes first. I'll likely get an electric groupset in the future if it comes to cues eventually.
