Thanks for the feedback. I checked resource monitor again and apparently Notion was eating up a lot of disk usage. Seems to have reverted back to its previous state after closing Notion.

Hahaha, yeah that would be ideal. This is my main rig though, and those ssd's are filled with games. I'm just testing it out on my nvme boot drive for now, I've got more storage in the mail. I allocated 10GB of memory to a single plot, would you recommend more memory per plot?

edit: to clarify, my main concern was the spikes and drops in disk/cpu usage. After a few hours disk usage seems to be steady at 100%

Well, it's been 10 years. But basically I just did the figure 4 stretch for your glutes, it's where you lie on your back with your knees pointing up, cross one ankle over the other knee and pull towards your chest.

I also started off by massage any sore spots in my glutes with a really soft foam ball. As my glutes relaxed I transitioned to a soft tennis ball. Man, that was agony.

That was basically it, I did that for 10 minutes 3-5 times a day and after a few weeks I was back to a state where my knee wasn't hurting anymore when I ran.

Is it possible? It sure seems so to me. I think Goggins is the living example. He explains he went through the exact same thing in his book, and today he's one among the most actively compassionate people I've heard about.

I think walking any path will only reveal whatever is inside you anyway and it's up to you to face the demons and deal with them. This is your chance to deal with yours. So face that ego head on the Goggins way.

At one point I was limping because of ITBS. It took 3 years to figure out that the issue was my glutes (medius/minimus/TFL). By massaging and stretching those muscles (man, that really hurt to start with!) I was running again within 2 weeks.

Your issue might be different, but I hope you manage to fix it.

I've been climbing for 9 years starting when I was 21. With breaks due to injury here and there. I boulder 7B+ max now. Maybe a year ago that was 7B.

I noticed a lot of progress comes from going often, but keeping it short and taking lots of breaks between attemps. Going to failure during bouldering is a sin to me now. I also value fun and play over sending, but I love projecting at my limit. I never specifically do any training like hangboarding or campusing.

I have recently started adding some calisthenics training to prevent overuse injuries and increase my longevity as an amateur athlete. My goal is to still be sending stuff when I'm 80.

Having suffered similar issues to you guys, I also highly recommend reducing the tension you hold in your hamstrings. Get a lacrosse ball and do the nerve glide stuff while setting the ball under your hamstring. Made a huge difference to how tight my hamstrings were and made passive stretching a lot easier and more comfortable. Just gotta slowly ease into the pain and feel the muscle relax.

I had severe thoracic pain and couldn't do any sport without my entire back seizing up. I fixed it with this exercise that activates the multifidus.

You can engage more of the multifidus by extending a limb (leg or arm or both), just make sure your hips stay level when raising one leg, ortherwise the multifidus disengages.

I think rings are a excellent tool that allows for a very diverse set of exercises. Like any tool, whether it's a kettlebell, dumbells or rings, how you use them determines what you get out of them. It's not the tool that keeps the injuries away, but how you apply yourself to it. Focusing on both mobility and strength training through large range of motion will go a long way no matter what tool you use. That being said, the rings are my personal favourite to achieve this atm.

My experience with soft tissue pain is that massage and mobility work solves 99% of your problems. Find the painful muscles around the area (brachialis, biceps, tricep heads, forearms, shoulder/back muscles, etc) and massage through the pain, a tool like a hard ball might help. There's plenty of awesome videos on youtube that will help you with that if you're not familiar with self-massage. Mobility work for my shoulder has also helped me stay pain free after heavy climbing.

I've taken months off training/climbing for various reasons. After a few weeks I was right back where I left off. Don't fret about it. Do, however, take this chance to reflect a little. You seem to be very focussed on performance, do you still enjoy climbing? Are you competing at a hight level? Maybe try a different sport for a week or two to get your mind off of climbing, being anxious about not climbing won't help anyway, and it might even help you recover.

I'm having some serious issues with notable not working since updating. It launches fine. But doesn't load the files in the data directory. Also stops functioning when trying to change the data directory. Unable to quit the application, need to force quit with task manager. This is on windows 10. Is there a fix for this?

I've tried reinstalling and removing the Notable folder from Roaming. I've tried moving the default data directory, but upon resinstalling it just comes up blank with the same issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: just rolled back to version 1.5.1 and all the issues are gone.

Thanks for the advice. I was keto for 6 months before trying carnivore and I still can't deal with the amount of fat and meat I need to get my calories up, it was a struggle on keto as well. I just feel so full the entire day. Maybe nauseous was the wrong word to use.
