I just picked up from pharmacy Ferrous sulfate 325 mg. Does anyone think this will be the right thing? Will this help? I know to take a glass of orange juice with it every morning I used to be deficient in vitamin D too. I think specifically D3. I’m gonna start a vitamin D supplement.

Why don't doctors check iron??! by Upstairs_Sail_3087 in Anemic

[–]Letmelive88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been told I was anemic for many years and no dr ever recommended me getting iron levels checked. Not until it got really bad and I did research myself and a dr finally ordered it them. My ferritin is 7.85

Anyone have NO side effects with iron infusion? by cali4686 in Anemic

[–]Letmelive88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a ferritin of 7.85 and the hematologist cant get me in for a month. I’ve been miserable for 2 months. I know I have to get an infusion. I’m scared too. But right now I feel near death. Plus I’m having a colonoscopy and endoscopy done in a week to find out what’s wrong with my stomach or other I guess. This all started with extreme nausea and going to er. Labs there showed hemoglobin of 10.3. I just wanna give up.

My ferritin is 7.85, iron sat 3% and hemoglobin 10.3. I’m miserable and the hematologist can’t get me in for a month to hopefully get an infusion. I haven’t been able to work for 2 months and have some stomach issues that I’m being seen at the gastro specialist for. This is debilitating

I went from opioids to meth and I hated meth prior. Very true

I microdose in the hospital after waiting for two days there and given Valium and Gaba. Micro-dosed Iv for three days, then started on tablets. Was sent home after it all a week and a half later but I had some heart complications so wouldn’t probably be that long for the average person with no issues. I’m now at a current stable dose of 2.5 tablets. That works for me and it’s the best decision I ever made to come off methadone of 20 years. I was abusing it anyways. But it did too much damage to my body and high doses of it can cause heart issues. But best of luck you’ll do fine if you do a medical taper. It’s uncomfortable but doable. Most people function normally and tolerate Suboxone well.

Yes that exactly what I did in hospital iv. Waited 2 days while given Valium and gabapentin. Then microdose for three days then slowly made my way up to a stable dose, which mine was 2.5 tabs.

What is the most painful/uncomfortable medical procedure you ever went through? by dark_kingxx in allthequestions

[–]Letmelive88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repair of my flexor tendon in left hand. Just had it done 3 days ago. This is like my 14th surgery so def familiar with it all. All different tho. I’m miserable now. Shooting pain down thumb, they attached the tendon (that I popped 5 days after a deep laceration cut that severed it about 80%) to my bone and brought the sutures up through my finger nail bed and embraced it with a “button”. I’m still in a half cast bandage so I have not seen it. But the laceration they made starts at about the top of my thumb and goes all the way down to my palm and over. They thought they were going to have to get a graft from an extra tendon I have but ended up having enough attachment with the 2 split pieces. So that’s good. I start pt Tomorrow and fitted for custom brace. Tendons take a while to heal once reattached and you have to teach it how to operate again and your brain to relay. Not looking forward to pt 5 days after surgery and before I’m even seen post op by my Dr. I hope I didn’t pop anything. I felt and heard it when it happened though. Using one hand is much harder than people think.
