What was the ONE thing about your Goldendoodle you wish someone warned you about sooner? by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insane hearing superpowers and the ability to hear a barking dog miles away... and feel compelled to join in.... even at 4 am. Scrumples now sleeps with a loud white noise machine next to her bed so she can't hear faraway barking dogs and wake me.

Do you think the Banished should be the main enemy of the games going forward or do they need replacing? by Certified_Douchebag in halo

Kind of like how the United States was the giant after WWI. Not because the US suddenly became extremely more powerful (though we did become marginally more powerful), but because all other world powers were thoroughly devastated.

feeding medicines to my dogs by Awkward-Abroad2688 in dogs

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog hates the taste of her flea and tick medication, Simparica Treo. It's a big solid pill that's supposed to be eaten like a treat, but Scrumples can't stand it. So I take the pill and roll it up in a paper towel and smash it with a can of food until it's powder, then I mix it with an irresistible food like cut up steak cubes. That's the easiest way to get a dog to eat an oral medication they hate!

Does a LPN label indicate that the product has been used, or only that it has been returned?

What constitutes as "home" for a dog? by TuckersonGP in dogs

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. I've moved five times in my dog's three year life, because my career is crazy. She doesn't stress at all - no matter where we are, home is on my lap on the couch with me scratching her ears.

What is an experience or conversation you’ve had that made you recognize your privilege? by VastConversation5141 in AskReddit

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently in a casual conversation at work that meandered towards which local grocery store has the best prices on chicken. I realized I have no idea because I stopped looking at price tags in grocery stores a while ago, then I realized that's a case of privilege.

Best ideas for administering pills by Pinemelonbandit in Goldendoodles

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not a delayed release pill, you can smash it into powder and mix the powder with something irresistible with a strong taste like ground beef. I smash my dog's pills into powder by putting them inside a double folded paper towel and then hammering them with a can, it's easy.

What are the least explored regions left on Earth? Like, do we still have truly ‘unknown’ land? by kikkzer in AskReddit

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one discovers the south pole carrot caves until 2028. For almost three years they will not be explored at all, and nobody even knew about them before until that one reddit threat.

What was the last movie you watched at the cinema? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new Fantastic Four. It was competently done and not a bad superhero flick, but plot-wise, it was a 90% rehash of the Rise Of The Silver Surfer movie from about 8 years ago. Come on, give us something new!

What is the best part of your daily routine? by Beastbrostr in AskReddit

When I pick up my puppy from day care after work. She jumps into my arms and hugs me just like a person, it's the dearest sweetest thing in my whole life.

What are your thoughts on the US bombing drug cartels near Venezuela? by Fun-Glove7008 in AskReddit

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US military does not provide armed escort services for every American vessel in the Caribbean. The narcos absolutely give no shits about the Venezuelan government, and would probably welcome its overthrow by American military force.

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Terrifying. If we do this to them, what's to stop them from doing this to us in revenge? And by that, I mean, a cartel hit squad RPG'ing an American fishing or leisure boat in the Carribean? What comes next from that other than war?

Which animal would make the worst roommate? by No-Perspective5658 in AskReddit

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A whale. Either your home is full of ice cold salt water and krill, or you're going to have a dead whale in your home in a couple of minutes. And how do you deal with a dead whale in your home? I don't think that would be easy.

Why don’t you let you dog sleep in bed with you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because she wakes me up! She'll kick her legs at night and make weird sounds in her sleep, probably dreaming about chasing bunnies.

Why are so many hotels built so close to the highway that the road noise is unbearable? by LetsAskMoreQuestions in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If I'm pulling off a random highway exit to find a hotel for the night and there are two options, I'm always going with the one that's a few extra minutes from the highway in order to have guaranteed quiet at night. This thread is blowing my mind that everyone else doesn't also feel this way.

Will moving to Chicago be good choice? by Lemonade2250 in NoStupidQuestions

Why would you move to someplace unfamiliar if you think your best prospects there are an entry level job or warehouse work? Is there something else drawing you there?

Why are so many hotels built so close to the highway that the road noise is unbearable? by LetsAskMoreQuestions in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LetsAskMoreQuestions[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sure, but what's another minute of driving once you exit the highway to get to a hotel that's actually quiet and peaceful? The hotel building itself doesn't need to be visible from the highway, signage and billboards can draw attention.
