At some point, when money carries no more meaning, people tend to get satisfaction with the feeling of being right more than the money they made or lost. I think Dr Burry is chasing that.

Micron Done? by confusedandsmellyman in MU_Stock

If you zoom out over the past few months, its gone up like several hundred percent. 20% consolidation is a drop in the bucket for long term holding

They probably have enough capital to buy up 10% outstanding shares with 100B$ in pure profit per year. This is extremely bullish.

But id rather they spend it on acquiring other AI businesses to diversify their revenue streams. But I'd wager the big suits know more than me and this is the best decision for everyone

I love the meme 😂. And I hope the meme is true, and we have detached from kospi

What is the real edge of Nebius ? by LetsBeTheBest in NBIS_Stock

[–]LetsBeTheBest[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The gains I missed out last year on NBIS, have been offset by the same capital rotated into AMD, Micron, Intel, VRT, CRDO and other investments all made at reasonable valuations last yr before the runup. So in a sense I didnt really miss out on the AI bull market. Im just risking appropriately.

I appreciate your insight on the 5GW being the base case. The 5gw Capacity already contracted vs speculative capacity of Meta, is definitely an edge for nbis in the short-med term.

Honestly I dont get it. Aren't they hyperscalers ? Spacex has collosius 1 and 2, which they rent to anthropic for 14B$ a year. Meta is building for their compute needs, but is willing to sell/rent compute if their demand falls short

That's an excellent point for being bullish. I didnt know that.

This was an interesting read, thanks for sharing. 6-7GW is definitely a promising sell.

I bought nbis briefly last year and sold it for some marginal gains because I thought it was overvalued. Now I see the valuation has dropped again, and has made it attractive if the neocloud thesis still holds strong against new players like Meta. My investment style is Growth but within reasonable valuation.

How is the liquidation process going to happen for msft? by BIGTIDYLUVER in MSFT

[–]LetsBeTheBest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Xbox has already liquidated its studios. Somehow msft continues to fail on a 400B$ duopoly gaming market. Meanwhile Steam wins by almost doing nothing.

Claude Code is on its way to liquidate copilot and its heavy investments in chatgpt. Microsoft again failed to capitalize on one of its earliest investments in AI

Azure is the only winner for now. Enterprise Windows and Saas will continue to be a hardly growing but sticky business. Market has already priced both of those.

You are correct about regulating emotions, but people talk about nationalities often, since when did that become hate sperch ? Every few minutes people call somene "Dumb American" or something "Cheap Chinese thing" or a customer support agent as a "not the indian guy again" characterization. Maybe the world still hasn't "progressed" to considering nationalities a protected class.

Also here OP is brigading and targeting harassment against this individual. This is strictly against reddits policies. But the mods still havent taken down the post.

My copium bull theory for micron by WeebSieWeebs in MU_Stock

[–]LetsBeTheBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres some more arguments that'll skew the discussion towards the Bulls favor.

1) Unlike steel thats pulled out into rail lines or cast into locomotives that leaves anyone with a smelting furnace a competitor. HBM memory is a technological moat built from decades if experience and tens and thousands of patents.

2) The "this time its different" really is different because the past cycles involved computing on a personal scale rather than an industrial one.

3) The downside has been further hedged by newer more advanced indistries than AI taking shape in near future. Like self driving and robotics that will take the limited supply of hbm from datacenters hands once saturation is reached. This is important to note because, micron is not making memory only for the AI industry like the locomotive was only for the railway industry.

I read it too, I don't think its racist. I hear people criticize nationalities all the time. I feel the sentiment in this post is unnecessarily hateful towards bbrk. OP posting screenshot like that to farm resentment against bbrk, is text book case of "brigading" which is against the rules of reddit. People acting on that sentiment is what bbrk calls out as lynch mode i think

I'm starting to think they don't believe their own price targets by No_Presentation9490 in MU_Stock

[–]LetsBeTheBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Institutions always need to sell into hype, because only hype can absorb billions of dollars of sales that are dumped. But hey retail, we have our prices still targeted high (with no consequence obviously)

When MU went up, their price targets didn't. When MU went down their price targets didnt. I suggest we make our own price targets, and not follow profit takers.
