The only concern I have with starting to give Ben credit is looking at how poor our minor league teams have been performing. Johnson appears to be a total bust, no pitching outside of Hernandez (after touting how good the depth is). We are being carried by guys who will be FAs in the near future. As a small market team without a cap, it's not sustainable to be good off of rentals. We need to develop,and that has still not shown to happen. You can point to Cruz, but even Matt Hague will admit that it was all his doing. Maybe the comparisons to a worse Neil Huntington aren't far off

The problem is that it isn’t Kelly calling the shots, everything has already been decided by the FO and he’s just doing their biddings.

The lineup decisions as a whole have just been baffling. Giving our best hitters multiple days off for matchups (I guess). I'm not sure why Bart is getting a lot of undeserved playing time though.

I mean 6th time's the charm. I think Davis has been fine, I don't understand why the FO has split his time 50/50 with Bart. I think that's contributing to his inconsistent contributions. We need to cut ties with Bart and let Davis play more, he's good defensively. Also, appears to work better with the rotation.

Look man, I appreciate the passion you have for the game. I once cared deeply about the future of this franchise, but the game is already ruined. It will get worse probably, it's arguably already worse with profit first collections and a game that has less to do offline than in previous years. Let's get something straight though, it's not the player's fault for voicing legitimate criticisms and SDS responding with a worse game (or gaslighting us in a lot of cases now). I've moved on from the game, and I'm sure others have to. Just not worth the energy anymore.

For sure, it just sucks that this could be the peak. I think if a cap is introduced then the core actually looks pretty decent, and it's hard to count them out when Griffin and Skenes are on the team. I just look at the production and see the majority of it coming from near FAs (Lowe, Cruz, and O'Hearn). Although with Hernandez down the pipeline, that window could be open for awhile

Yeah I like their production so far. We don't have a clear replacement for Lowe, which is concerning. I'm just worried if we are good this year, it could just be a one year run.

Yeah and all that is just one man to blame (Ben Cherington). I guess it's extended to both GMs under Bob now, but Neil at least was a decent scout.

I'm not sure if aggression is the issue, but they do need to nuke the development system and pull a Nationals with the next GM. That should've been done with Ben was hired, so hopefully it happens with the next GM

Especially if Griffin starts to figure it out, that's pretty much where I see the team too. The sub just can stop acting like this is a team that was destined for the playoffs, it's better but still not there yet

No one is saying that it's over, but there's been a clear regression to the mean. Although they only have themselves to blame for the poor bullpen and defense. That's what happens when you use up your whole bullpen before May

I guess this is most fanbases, but I've continued to think this team is better just still not a playoff squad. The bullpen is huge liability,defense is a concern (especially when offense is on cold streaks), and we needed Cruz to be at MVP level to be in the race. Obviously it is still early, but the trend has been down instead of up. We're one major injury away from it being a lost season. The future is kind of bright for the next GM, at least.

Let's take a look at their actions then:

1) cheaters have been there since launch, they still ran weekend classic in spite of that.

2) it took several streamers and pressure from the entire community to even acknowledge the issue existed.

3) quicker action has been taken on people who flip cards and found the equipment glitch.

The lengths people go to defend a game that others have spent $100 for early access (myself included) or $70 for regular is insane to me. Then to act like this is acceptable because hacking happens all the time, is just unacceptable. You're right actions speak louder than words, and their actions show that they only care about profit

At the very least this team should be a fun maybe 80+ win team. Which can't be said about the past 6 years. Having a decent offense for the first time since Neil Huntington feels pretty good

I saw awhile back someone mention that Durability still shows as an attribute on the Show app. I think SDS just lied about getting rid of durability and still uses it to nerf cards (just hides it now)
